What a few days! 🚵

We’ve just wrapped up a bespoke British Cycling Off-Road Leadership course, delivered for the staff team at Bike Park Wales here in South Wales — and what a group to work with.

Over two days we worked through the full leadership criteria: balancing control and risk, understanding rider motivation, exploring different leadership models, trailside repairs, and navigation both on and off the bike.

We’ve just packed up after another British Cycling Trail Leader Award training course here in the Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley — and honestly? What a couple of days.

Glorious trails, a cracking group of clients, and that brilliant moment you always get on day two… when it all clicks. When someone who turned up a little unsure is suddenly reading the trail, managing the group, and leading like they’ve done it for years. That’s the good stuff. 🙌

This is the official, industry-recognised first step into mountain bike leadership. The two days are the training — packed with everything you need before you head out to consolidate your skills and complete your assessment day to qualify. Over the course you’ll get hands-on with:
🧭 Navigation & ride planning
🔧 Trailside repairs
🛠️ Group management, safety & decision-making
🚴 Leading skills sessions — and sharpening your own riding too

Whether it’s for work, your club, or just the buzz of taking your mates out and knowing you’ve got it handled — this is where it starts.
