The club is delighted to confirm the coaching team for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

Alex Lacey will step into the role of Head Coach, while continuing in his position as Director of Rugby. Dan Brooke will also continue to lead the Rhinos, providing continuity and experience within the coaching setup.

We are also thrilled to welcome David Higgins to the club. David brings a wealth of knowledge and experience following a stellar playing career with Colchester RFC, and we are extremely excited to have him around the squad.

We’re excited to confirm that our 1XV will be competing in Counties 2 Essex for the 2026/2027 campaign 🏆

The squad can’t wait to reignite some old rivalries, take on new opposition, and enjoy a season with a lot less time spent on the road ⚪️🔵

That brings the 25/26 season to a close for MIRFC. A huge thank you to all our players, supporters, sponsors, and volunteers for your incredible support and hard work throughout the year 👏🏻

For the final time this season, the Islanders are on the road as we travel to Doncaster to take on Huddersfield Laund Hill in the Counties 2 National Cup Final! 🔵⚪️

A huge occasion for the club, the players, and everyone who’s supported us throughout the season.
