🐼💜 Every adventure has a beginning…

Ours began with one little Panda.

Meet Alice, our very first Panda Tot. ❤️

This week, Alice took her first steps on a brand-new adventure with us, and what a special little milestone that was.

Panda Tots has been created especially for children aged 3–4, giving them a fun, positive place to explore movement, build confidence, practise listening and focus, and discover just how much they are capable of.

And the best part?

Their grown-up is right there beside them, sharing the adventure too. 🥰

For Alice, this is only the beginning.

There will be new challenges to try, stickers to earn, little achievements to celebrate and lots of fun along the way.

But every Panda Tots journey has to begin somewhere…

🥋 BACK TO SCHOOL. BACK TO ROUTINE. BACK TO THE DOJO.

September always feels like a fresh start.

The summer holidays are coming to an end, schools are returning and families everywhere are beginning to find their routines again.

And here at Colchester Wado Ryu Karate, we’re looking forward to seeing the dojo filling up again. ❤️

For our students, coming to karate is about far more than learning kicks, punches and techniques.

It’s about confidence.

Making friends.

Learning to focus and keep trying when something feels difficult.

Developing discipline and self-control.

Learning how to deal with setbacks.

Feeling proud when another belt, certificate or badge has been earned.

And perhaps most importantly, having somewhere they feel they belong.

We see those little changes every week.

The child who was nervous about joining in who now walks confidently onto the dojo floor.

The student who struggled to speak in front of others who now puts their hand up.

The child who found it difficult when things didn't go their way who is learning to try again.

The adult who finally decided it was time to do something for themselves.

Those moments matter just as much to us as belts and grades.

We can tell people what we do at Colchester Wado Ryu Karate, but the people who really tell our story are the students and families who walk through our doors every week.

So, as we begin another exciting September, we'd love our members to keep sharing those moments, celebrating those achievements and telling others about their experiences.

🐼💜 PANDA TOTS LAUNCHES NEXT WEDNESDAY!

After months of planning, preparation and our first Panda Tots Taster, we're ready...

Panda Tots officially launches in Colchester next Wednesday, 9th September at 9.30am!

Designed especially for 3–4 year olds and their grown-ups, Panda Tots uses fun, structured activities to help little ones develop:

⭐ Confidence
🎯 Focus & listening
🤸 Movement & coordination
❤️ Social skills and independence

And this isn't a class where grown-ups simply sit and watch. You join the adventure too.

We've made an important decision about our first group too. Panda Tots will be limited to just 10 children, allowing us to keep the experience small, personal and supportive.

I'm opening the dojo tomorrow morning for our Panda Tots Open Morning, from 9.30am–11.00am.

You're very welcome simply to pop in, have a look around, see Panda Tots for yourself and have a chat.

I'm also introducing 15-minute Parent Chat appointments, so if you'd prefer to know that you'll have my full attention at a particular time, you can reserve a slot.

Bring your little one along too. There's absolutely no obligation to enrol. 😊

🐼 The first big Panda Tots announcement is here!

After listening to local families and all the wonderful feedback I've received over the past few weeks, I'm delighted to confirm that Panda Tots will take place every Wednesday morning at 9.30am.

Choosing the right day and time was really important to me, so thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts. Your feedback has genuinely helped shape the programme from the very beginning.

To give every child and grown-up the best possible experience, the very first Panda Tots class will be limited to just 10 children.

📅 I'll be announcing the official launch date and opening bookings very soon, so if you have a little one aged 3-4 years, now is the perfect time to join our Early Interest List.
