Caroline part 1 - The start of my journey

Olivia used to do what a lot of women do when they join a gym but don’t feel like they belong.

She went to the treadmill.

Maybe the bike.

Anything that kept her away from the weights area, where it felt like everyone else knew what they were doing and she hadn’t been shown.

She was not lazy.

She was not hopeless.

She was uncomfortable, self conscious, and fed up of feeling like her body was something she had to fix on her own.

And that is the bit a lot of people do not see.

They see the after photo.

They see the 35 pounds lost.

They see the confidence.

But they do not always see the years before that.

The stopping and starting.

The nights out.

The food that slowly adds up.

The clothes that do not feel right anymore.

The awkward feeling of walking into a gym and thinking everyone else has a plan except you.

For Olivia, that moment came after finishing her degree.

“I have always been a bigger curvy girl all my life. Before I started at Transformation HQ, I had just finished my degree, and I had gone from going out every week, drinking, eating rubbish food and not exercising really at all. Thats when it finally came home, it all caught up with me, and I wasn’t happy with how I looked, and I really wanted to do something that would help me get to where I want to be.”

That is honest.

And it will sound familiar to a lot of women.

Because you do not wake up one day miles away from where you want to be.

It creeps up.

A few drinks here.

A takeaway there.

A missed gym session.

A diet that lasts three days.

Then another Monday restart.

Then another promise to yourself that this time will be different.

And the frustrating part is, most women in Olivia’s position have tried before.

They have joined a gym.

They have gone to classes.

They have tried eating less.

They have done the treadmill and the bike because those feel safe.

But safe does not always change much.

And when nobody is showing you how to lift weights, how to structure your food, or how to stay consistent outside the gym, it is easy to fall back into the same loop.

That was the big difference when Olivia joined Transformation HQ.

She started with the 6 Week Meltdown.

That meant three coached sessions per week, a simple meal planner to follow, accountability, and little tasks to work on outside the gym each week.

Nothing fancy.

Nothing weird.

Just enough structure to stop her guessing.

She did not have to walk in and pretend she knew what to do.

She did not have to hide on a machine she understood.

She had trainers showing her how to train properly, how to use the equipment, and how to build confidence session by session.

“I have always felt anxious and uncomfortable going into gyms. I have tried a few times but always just fell back into the classic treadmill and bikes as I never felt like I was allowed to go into the weights room. The trainers, from the moment I started the gym, really put me at ease, explaining how to use the machines, and if I had any questions they were always willing to help. And also all the other members at the gym are all so nice and welcoming.”

That is what most normal gyms miss.

They give you access.

They give you equipment.

Then they leave you to it.

And if you already feel unsure of yourself, that is not enough.

A busy class can feel better because at least you are told what to do, but it often lacks the personal support you need.

Nobody is checking your food.

Nobody is helping you build habits around your life.

Nobody really knows where you are starting from.

One to one personal training can help, but it can also get expensive fast.

And even then, if the habits outside the session do not change, the results often slow down.

Transformation HQ sits in that middle ground.

Small group personal training, proper coaching, food structure, weekly support, and people around you who actually want you to win.

For Olivia, that helped her build early momentum.

She started training.

She started eating with more structure.

She started proving to herself that she could do hard things.

And once the results started coming, she did not want to stop.

That is why many members move from the 6 Week Meltdown into the monthly rolling membership, which can be cancelled anytime.

Because once you have built momentum, the last thing you want to do is drop the structure and hope you keep it going on your own.

The monthly membership gives you ongoing coaching, continued sessions, support with your food, and the option to take things further when you are ready.

For Olivia, that next step was the 12 Week Shoot.

This is where things move up a level for a temporary period.

Instead of three sessions a week, members often train four or five times per week.

Food becomes more detailed.

The meal planner gets swapped for tracking calories and macronutrients.

Steps increase.

Sleep and stress matter more.

The plan becomes tighter, because the goal is bigger.

Not forever.

Just for a focused block of time.

And for Olivia, that gave her something to aim at.

Not because a photoshoot magically fixes everything.

But because it creates a deadline, a reason to push, and a chance to see what you can do when you stop holding yourself back.

“My life has changed massively. If you had told me a year ago I would be in the gym 3 to 4 times a week I would have laughed. I feel more confident in my body, more confident that I can do hard things, and having amazing family and friends who can see the results and tell you how proud they are really makes me feel great.”

That is the real transformation.

Yes, Olivia has lost 35 pounds.

But the bigger change is that she is no longer the woman standing on the edge of the gym wondering where she fits.

She trains now.

She lifts.

She asks questions.

She keeps progressing.

And the support around her has become part of why she keeps going.

“I think the coolest thing that’s happened has just been the other members coming up to me who I haven’t seen for a while or who have seen my shoot photos, who have said how well I have done or how proud they are and how proud I should be. Just having that support in the gym truly is something special.”

That matters.

Because when you have spent a long time feeling uncomfortable in your own body, being seen for the effort you are putting in can hit hard.

Not in a shallow way.

In a “you have worked for this and people can see it” way.

And Olivia is not treating this like a quick fix she has finished.

She has moved the bar.

She wants to keep building on what she has done.

She wants to keep pushing.

She wants to take the habits she learned and make them part of her normal life.

“Since doing the shoot, I’ve tried to keep up with a lot of the eating habits, and the trainers have helped me with that. Also, I have already decided I want to do another shoot later in the year to help me continue to get to the goal I want to achieve.”

That line is important.

She still wants a normal life.

She still wants balance.

She does not want to live like a fitness robot who never goes out, never slips up, and never enjoys herself.

She has learned how to make better choices without making her whole life miserable.

“It’s all about balance. This is a life change for me and using what you learn across the shoot, I can now implement those methods into my life whilst also trying to live a normal 22 year old life, just with better and healthier habits.”

That is where most diets fail.

They ask you to become someone completely different overnight.

Then when real life happens, you feel like you have ruined it.

Olivia’s advice is much more useful.

“Listen to the trainers. You want them to help push you to lift stronger and heavier, so even when you don’t want to do it, you can, and they will help you get there.”

“Be kind to yourself. It’s a massive change and you may slip up a few times, but if you do it’s ok. Just look at where you went wrong and change it the next day.”

That is the mindset shift.

Not perfection.

Not punishment.

Just learning, adjusting, and getting back on track faster.

So if you are reading Olivia’s story and it feels a bit close to home, do not ignore that.

If you have tried gyms before and ended up drifting back to the treadmill.

If you keep starting diets and falling off.

If you feel uncomfortable in your clothes but keep telling yourself you will sort it soon.

If you know you need help but feel nervous about walking through the door.

Olivia has been there.

And her encouragement is clear.

“Try not to be scared. Taking the first step to even sign up for the gym is something you should be so proud of as it’s the first step to changing your life. Everyone at the gym will welcome you with open arms and a smile and help you. Yes, it will be hard, but as time goes on every time you go it gets a little easier and you will be amazed at how strong you can get.”

That first step will probably feel uncomfortable.

Most first steps do.

But staying stuck feels worse.

Start with the 6 Week Meltdown.

Get your three sessions booked.

Follow the meal planner.

Let the trainers help you.

Build some early wins.

Then, when you feel ready, keep going on the monthly membership and take your transformation further with the 12 Week Shoot.

A few months from now, you could be looking back at your own photos thinking the same thing so many Transformation HQ members say.

“I wish I had done this sooner.”
