🚨Training hard but the scales are staying the same... or even worse, going up? 👇🏼
I see this so often with women who start lifting for the very first time. A couple of weeks in, they step on the scales and it’s just not playing ball. They’re frustrated, thinking what’s the point, ready to throw the towel in.
Honestly, I’ve genuinely been there myself. But here’s the thing nobody tells you when you first start strength training... your muscles hold onto water as they repair and grow. And if you’ve also started taking creatine, even more so. It can look like 1-2kg going on overnight and it feels like failure. It is literally the opposite of failure. That’s your body changing.✨
If you’re relying on a set of scales alone to tell you the whole picture, without taking photos or measurements alongside, you are doing yourself a disservice. The scales will catch up, I promise. But don’t let a number on a machine become the thing that ends your progress before it’s even started. 🫶🏼
Remember you’re not failing, you’re building 🍑💪🏼
