Last weekend the ponies had use of some spare paddocks to boost their weights and give mine a rest, sadly due to the track being suddenly booked in, I had to move them back into ours but look how well they all look on just 4 days of good grass! It really help and I’m so grateful to our land lady for this help. Cagney truly is a legend!

I’m hoping to ride again by the weekend, once the track is finished as at the moment I’ve had to leave it due to it being impossible with the tractor and digger on site all day and before that the bloody heat! Aerin has been doing stuff with the yard kids and Fai so hopefully I can join in too soon!

So no really news on the riding side but the horses are all well!

I just want to share this, my son.

Aeron was born in January 1994, at 3 months old he was diagnosed with Lissencephaly Miller Dieker Syndrome. This condition means that he had a smooth brain amongst other co-morbidities. He’s biggest issue as the years went on was epilepsy, which in the end was what took him from us. Aeron was profoundly disabled and also nonverbal. Throughout his life he brought joy to everyone and loved animals (did he really have a choice? lol). 14 years ago he died, 1st June 2012, we lost him aged 18 years old. Our world shattered and I became suicidal but the horses and his sister kept me going, as they do now with Dave’s help.

When people stand and judge or bully others for no other reason than for sport (yes that’s what it is, there’s no true reason to bully people) be the person who stands up and says ‘no, I won’t do this’ because no one knows what other people are going through. I have been bullied and believe me I’m strong, but I do have good people who keep me that way. Please be part of the solution and remove nastiness from our beautiful horse world. We are all different, embrace it!!

Sage is not impressed with being ridden 4 times a week now 😂. I’m slowly building us both up to 6 days a week and getting out hacking with the yard kids.

He’s so funny, he tries napping to the gates with me and gives up virtually straight away because he realises it’s me and I don’t care if he is a div lol. He’s trying all his tricks but I know them all and shut it down quite quickly by ignoring it lol.
