Happy New Year.

After the recent World Rapid & Blitz let's continue the craziness with a Chess 960 Rapid Play.

Wear whatever you like and if you don't like the offered position moan at me and tell me you won't play unless I change the rules to something more favourable, as you are too tired.

Saturday 18th January @ St Michael's Centre, Stoke Gifford.

Unfortunately there is no rating system for this yet, but at least you won't lose anything.

Single Section with a 20' + 5" increment time control. 3 minutes to review the position before the clock starts.

£300 prize fund and I will add some rating prizes if we get 40 entries.

Results and Photo's from the 1st Stoke Gifford Blitz yesterday.

Congratulations to Zack Norris, who becomes the Bristol League 2024/5 champion.

Next up will be a Chess 960 Rapidplay, 6 rounds of can I castle, how do I castle and why are both of my bishops on the queen side and I haven't moved them yet! January 18th @1030.

Followed by the 3rd Stoke Gifford Rapidplay on the 15th March, with the Open section doubling up as the Bristol League Champioship.
