Thanks to all who came for the Blitz on Saturday and we appreciated the many positive comments received.

The Open section doubled as the 25/26 Bristol League Blitz Championship. Congatulations to this years Champion Tom Shepherd, who won on tie-break from last years champion Zack Norris.

The overall winner of the Open is Indy Southcott-Moyers and the Major is Emile Doran - Congratulations to them both.

15 rounds of 3+2, with clocks starting .

The Open doubles as the 7th Bristol League Champioship, along with an U1750 section.

A 7 round FIDE rated event to suit all abilities. Over 3 Sections, Open, Major U1800 & Minor U1500

The event will be held at the St Michael's Centre, North Road, Stoke Gifford, BS34 8PD. Only a short walk from Bristol Parkway Station.

Happy New Year.

After the recent World Rapid & Blitz let's continue the craziness with a Chess 960 Rapid Play.

Wear whatever you like and if you don't like the offered position moan at me and tell me you won't play unless I change the rules to something more favourable, as you are too tired.

Saturday 18th January @ St Michael's Centre, Stoke Gifford.

Unfortunately there is no rating system for this yet, but at least you won't lose anything.

Single Section with a 20' + 5" increment time control. 3 minutes to review the position before the clock starts.

£300 prize fund and I will add some rating prizes if we get 40 entries.
