Belatedly (admins fault again), the Apache are delighted to announce our MVPs from our final game vs the Bournemouth Bobcats!

STMVP goes to LB Jacob Ankah! As well as being an absolute menace when on the defence, Jacob had a great game on special teams! A hard runner on kick off and punt it was his punt return reps, where he caused chaos for the Bobcats units!

DMVP goes to LB Ben Cross! Captain Cross lead the Defence brilliantly all game. A dominant display across the field including 2 interceptions…1 of which he ran all the way back to the 5 before being forced out short of a TD. A great performance.

OMVP goes to RB Ed Green! On a really tough field, Ed was a menace for the Bobcats Defence! Carrying the ball 15 times for 63 yards at an average of 4.2 yards per carry and a TD! A great outing for the RB!

Apache Win! The Tribe ran out victorious in a 23-0 shutout against the Bobcats! Playing in a unique environment at the Rock N Ribs Festival the Apache were on it from the first whistle! An early INT from Captain, LB Ben Cross put the Tribes offence in good position but the Bobcats forced a stop on the 1! Another INT by DB Hayden Lee gave more good field position but again the Bobcats D stood tall close to their endzone and forced a FG, with a tough field K Scott Gay was unable to get the direction and the kick went wide. Another INT by Hayden was pulled back from being a pick 6 for a flag for taunting, the RockNRibs cameras proving to irresistible to the DB! The Apache O picked up the drive as the qtr ended and as the 2nd qtr started it was RB Fabio Jesus, cutting up through the middle for the opening TD, K Scott Gay with the XP! The Apache D was having a day, once again forcing the Bobcats to try a 3rd down quick punt…without success. The Tribe were set up in good field position and RB Ed Green would eventually power home. The XP was no good! The Apache going in 13-0 up at the half!

The second half was a disjointed affair with wholesale changes, injuries and some great plays! The Bobcats caught the Apache special teams out, just converting a 4th down punt fake! But the inevitability of the Apache D forced a turnover. QB Fin Hughes now in the game, threw a dart across the middle, which was caught superbly by WR Jack Waite, who, breaking 2 tackles, sprinted clear for a 54 yard TD, K Scott Gay with another XP! The game slowly fizzled to a finish with the Apache D continuing to have their way, lead by Captain Josh Sheppard with 3 sacks (1 strip sack), Sam James (1) and Billy Evans recording his 1st sack of the season. The Tribe recorded a final score, after another Ben Cross INT, the LB powered towards the endzone but was forced out of bounds which lead to K Scott Gay converting a FG for a final score of 23-0!

A huge thank you to RockNRibsFestival, to our volunteers for helping us on gameday, to our loyal band of supporters for travelling and supporting us and to the Bobcats for travelling and getting involved in the whole experience!

Thats right! The Bristol Apache will play their final home game of the season at the RockNRibs festival at Bath & West Showground!

With Admin now restored to normal, its time for us to announce our MVPs for our game at Hereford Stampede!

STMVP goes to DB Joe Collins! On a tough field, specials teams and field position were key! Joe was excellent on the day, key blocks on kick and punt returns, helping to sniff out a fake punt, it was his 3 kick off tackles that secured the MVP, each tackle stopping any Stampede momentum.

DMVP goes to, in an unusual move, the whole Defensive Line! The DL was an absolute menace all day against the Stampede. Racking up 8 sacks as a unit, multiple TFLs and applying constant pressure they were an unstoppable force. Sacks coming from Josh Sheppard, Scott Gay, Sam James (2 each), Simon Rooney & Kelcey Howell (1 each and the 1st for Kelcey).

OMVP goes to RB Fabio Jesus! Making his first start for the Apache, Fabs got the Tribe marching when, backed up inside our own 10, he broke right and unleashed a blistering 82 yard run for a TD! Not content he took another…much shorter hand off in for a TD in the 3rd quarter. Fabs finished the day with over 100 yards and 2 TDs!

Admin may have taken a well deserved break….or he forgot to post our MVPs from our last 2 games! Starting with our game vs South Wales Warriors!

STMVP goes to WR/R Harry Owen! In a back and forth game, Harry made some superb returns, showing great speed and hitting his gaps well. But for some last ditch tackles he would’ve taken at least 1 to the house!

DMVP goes to LB Alex Moorefield! Against a solid Warriors outfit, Morph was an absolute tackling machine. In hot, tough conditions against a heavy running attack, he threw himself at everything to help the D force key stops.

OMVP goes to TE Connor Day! With a lack of Oline, the TE stepped in and played superbly against an always tough Warriors front. Considering he was coming off injury also this makes Connors effort even better and he’s a worthy MVP!
