We are a friendly family run Equestrian Centre in the heart of Cornwall.

We welcome riders from outside our yard for lessons with Rachel, we operate a Pony Share scheme, run a professional yet friendly livery yard and our arena is also available for hire, with or without showjumps. If you have your own facilities, Rachel is happy to travel to you for lessons - just ask!! Our professional, friendly team strive to offer a first class service to both horse and rider and are always happy to chat about your requirements - please give us a ring, email or just pop in!!

Good Morning All.

So huge apologies once again for the radio silence on here, but to say life has been busy would be an understatement 🫣 Then on top of that I have been taken down by a really nasty virus and have been really poorly all week, which definitely wasn’t the plan 🫣 However I am now feeling a bit better thankfully and gradually starting to tick things off the to do list again ✅

We are of course closed this week so the horses and ponies can have a well deserved week off in the fields before the weather (and therefore their routine) changes. It also means our coaches can have a well deserved week off and so that our yard staff can be on reduced hours. It also means we can get everything clean,tidy and sorted after such a busy Summer.

Jess (our office manager) and I were super busy yesterday getting the next lot of dates on EC Pro and I see lots of you noticed as bookings have been FLYING in….🙏🏻 Super grateful.

Most of our dates are now on there up until the start of the October Half Term. There are still a few waiting to go on as we finalise coaches, but everything should be sorted by the end of today and Jess and I will breathe a sigh of relief 🤣

Tomorrow is our End of Summer Presentation here at LME. 1pm start. Yummy food available and the chance to come along to catch up with friends after such an incredible Summer. Please do all come along and say hello, who knows….you may even have won one of our beautiful trophies. 🫶

Good Morning All.

I know there are heaps of you who are trying to book September and October dates. HUGE apologies but they are not yet on Ec Pro. We are open for the rest of this week and then we are closed for a week as we do every year. Summer is incredibly busy and it is so important that our horses and ponies have a well deserved weeks holiday in the field before the weather turns, that our coaches get a well deserved week off from teaching and so the yard staff can be on reduced hours. It also gives us a time to tidy up and get ready for Autumn!!

This is also the time that we have a LOT of meetings and do a whole heap of planning! So please bear with us and I promise by the end of next week we will have as many September and October dates on as possible and hopefully lots of exciting plans to tell you all about 😊

Also, just a quick reminder about our End of Summer Awards evening on Saturday 12th September. EVERYONE is welcome so please do all come along. Friends and family are of course more than welcome. It’s a great chance to celebrate what an amazing past 12 months we have had, catch up with friends and celebrate those who have won an award (of which there are plenty!)

Regional Champs Update!

Following on from an amazing Mini Champs, we then went straight in to a full weekend of Regional Championships at Bicton. Saturday was full of Dressage and Showjumping and although very very wet, we didn’t let that stop us!! Sunday was then a day of Eventing in slightly better weather! We are so proud of all of our members and had some amazing results 🫶

Day Three of Pony Club Mini Champs 🫶

Another super day of fun has been had for the final day of PC Mini Champs at Bicton.

We have had lots of members taking part in warm up Dressage Tests in prep for their Regional Championship Tests tomorrow. We had lots of placings which was great and everyone is feeling prepared and ready for their tests tomorrow.

Our show-jumpers rode their socks off with Kora and Dancer managing an incredible individual 6th place in a big class which was amazing!!

Tomorrow is our busiest day yet with the Regional Championships starting early in the morning. 🫶🫶🫶

Day two of Pony Club Mini Champs.

We have had such a lovely day in the sunshine 🌞 Our LME Pony Club members have ridden their socks off and had such a fab day.

Our showjumping team managed an incredible fifth place out of forty seven teams….AMAZING!!

We also had an individual 7th for Isla and Peppa in this class and an individual 4th place for Evelyn and Poppy in the last jumping class of the day.

Super super day and so so proud of them all

Day one of Pony Club Mini Champs.

After arriving safely back from National Champs at the weekend, we had a quick turn around and arrived at Bicton yesterday evening ready for the Pony Club Mini Champs to start this morning.

We have had a busy day with Dressage and Showjumping classes and are soooooo proud of all our members 🫶

Lowenna and Bernard came 3rd in one of their dressage classes with Grace and Fudge coming 4th in the same class and Sylvie and Woody coming 7th in this class.

Our SJ team of Elsie and Petal, Isla and Peppa and Harper and Inca rode their socks off, coming away with a 4th place as their team and Isla coming 9th individually.

Kora and Dancer then managed an individual 3rd in a busy SJ class at the end of the day.

Super day with everyone having the best time and supporting eachother 🫶

Day Five and Six of National Pony Club Champs.

We have had a fab but busy few days of Dressage Tests, Endurance AND the Centres sleepover.

Hugely proud of ALL of our riders….it is such an achievement to even get to the National Champs in the first place!! but a HUGE shout out to Lanta Grummett who finished fourth individually in her Dressage Class….such an amazing accomplishment at a National Competition 🫶 AND to Emily Sluggett who won her Endurance Class and Michelle Champion who came second in her Endurance Class….huge achievements all round.

We have waved goodbye to more of our members and ponies this morning 😢 and are now waiting for the next lot of riders and ponies to arrive for the next few days of fun. 🫶

Day four of National Pony Club Champs.

Monday was changeover day here at Champs. This meant a day of no competition but plenty of comings and goings as we waved goodbye to some of our members and welcomed some more 🙂 There was also time to do a bit of chilling and have some fun off the ponies 😂

Today we have members competing in the Dressage, The Endurance Challenge and a whole minibus of our Pony Club members arriving later on today for the National Centres Sleepover 🫶. Busy busy busy!!

Day Two and Three of National Pony Club Champs. 🫶🫶🫶

We have had a jam packed weekend full of Polocrosse and Mounted Games. This has been our first year qualifying any teams for the Polocrosse so it has definitely been a learning curve for us all, but my goodness our Junior and Senior Teams have made us proud. They have all worked sooooo hard over the two days with a chukka every morning and afternoon. Our Junior Team were turned out beautifully managing a second in the Tack and Turnout and coming fourth overall, with our Senior team competing against some incredibly fast teams coming third overall.

Our games riders smashed their day on Saturday coming second in the Tack and Turnout and racing hard all afternoon against some insanely fast pairs. 🫶🫶 They held their own and looked amazing. We are so proud of them 💖💖

We now have a ‘Changeover Day’ tomorrow with some of our members leaving and some more arriving, then everything gets super busy again on Tuesday 😁
