For anyone that has been wondering how my gorgeous Dolly is getting on here is a short update. Dolly is loving live in her role as companion. She is the leader without being too bossy which is what her new field mate needed. She comes to call and loves her stable and treats. I miss her loads but know it was the right thing to do. Knowing she is loved and her companion is happy and thriving again makes it so much easier ❤🐴❤

Our first xc outing was a complete fail…. Traveled to Chiverton park XC course, began tacking up and discovered I left my stirrups behind 😭 I don’t think we are quite ready for XC without stirrups 😜

Dolly was such a good girl yesterday at the liveries and pony sharers show at Little Margate Equestrian. She was a bit keen and showing in the first cross country field was a little interesting as I am sure Dolly thought she was going to jumping!. We had a go at showjumping too, much to Dolly's delight.

Dolly and I had another bash at dressage on Monday evening in all the heat! The oppressive heat meant we didn't do a proper warm up....just walking made us sweat.....yuk. Both tests were an improvement on the last time but still could do better. My crowning glory was scoring an 8 for the last movement in the Prelim 7 test which was trot down the centre line, halt, immobility and salute. The rest of the test had a few issues resulting in a couple of 3s and a 4. BUT Dolly was still a good girl and love her to bits

Such a good morning. Dolly and I got to play with the cross country jumps at Little Margate Equestrian. We were a little fast at times but Dolly was super good. We followed the jumping with some dressage practise. Dolly definitely redeemed herself after Mondays test. Rode through the Intro B test and she was so so much better

Dolly was a total superstar this evening. A walk on hack in the woods. Then on the way back an idiot in a flat bed truck loaded with loose sighs decided to squeeze past on the road out of the woods. Yes he drove slowly but by know means did he give us 2m space. This unsettled Dolly. Then on the hump in the road which is narrow we came face to face with an enormous lorry. Dolly was not impressed at all. The driver inched forward to give us room to get past and then turned off his engine. With lots of praise she walked past the lorry. Total superstar 🐴❤🌟

Well Dolly and I did our first canter dressage test this evening as well as a walk and trot test. I have to say neither were very pretty but I did them and that's the main thing. The canter test could have been alot worse and there were some good points
