The Sandy Row 2012s were crowned Tullycarnet Summer League champions last night at Blanchflower after an end-to-end final against Celtic Boys that was decided by a dramatic penalty shootout.

The game was intense throughout, with both teams looking to attack at every opportunity. Celtic Boys took an early lead in the first half with an excellent finish from the edge of the box.

With 15 minutes remaining, Sandy Row found an equaliser through Kason, who headed home at the back post after the Celtic Boys goalkeeper had produced a brilliant save from Jack Fletcher's free kick.

The match finished 1-1 and went to penalties to determine the winner. What was expected to be a three-penalty shootout for each side turned into a tense battle that stretched to ten penalties apiece. Rudy calmly converted Sandy Row's final spot kick before our Players' Player of the Season, TJ, produced the crucial save to secure the trophy.

It was a cruel way for Celtic Boys to lose a final. The match was a fantastic showcase of grassroots football, with both teams contributing to an excellent contest. Celtic Boys were outstanding throughout, and we would like to thank them for their congratulations and humility after the final whistle. ๐Ÿ‘

A massive thank you also goes to everyone at Tullycarnet FC for organising the Summer League. Six weeks of competitive football has helped keep our lads sharp during the break. Special thanks to Tommy, Curtis and the TCFC Academy team for ensuring everything ran so smoothly. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ†

Sandy Row Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of Jack McAfee.

Jack joined the club at a young age and spent a number of successful years here, developing as young teenager in the 2nd team, to becoming a major part of the 1st team set up. After a year away, Jack has decided to return to the delight of the management team and everyone else at the club.

Dinner will be served between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.
