It’s not just Medal Monday, it’s Trophy Monday 🏆!!
I’ve never been on a podium for anything ever before!!
Our superb team of 4, Susan Yas Nicki & me grabbed ourselves 3rd place in the Small Team Female category at this weekend’s in Wasing Park.
That was 27 laps of an 8km hilly trail course so 216km in 24 hours & 2 minutes. Mostly in the pouring rain. Boom 💥. In fact we were the highest placed team of 4 women!
We were disciplined to perfection, handovers were prompt and camaraderie outstanding.
There’s plenty of tales to tell (for the pub sometime) but for now I remain humbled and bursting with pride in equal measures. And a bit tired 😴.
Thank you beyond words to my teammates & to all our supporters, some of whom stayed up late on Saturday to watch our progress (it was about 3am when Susan realised we were in 3rd place, up from 4th…and we secured our final position by just 8 minutes 😬).
And thanks to the team at - I’ve done some of their events before and they are superbly organised. They literally do everything for you (apart from the running obvs).

Last night’s Social Run @ Glasshouse involved a simulated loop - ie. an 8km circuit with just over 100m of elevation.
We went out across the fields at Southstoke, to Sulis Down, Old Fosse Way then along the path to Rush Hill and back via Corston View open space & the Tumps at Odd Down. Lots of fab views & great chat as always.
Thank you everyone for coming & helping us practice for this weekend, to Susan for tail running & for letting us meet at Glasshouse.

It’s this Thursday! Goodness they come round quick…our next Social Run @ Glasshouse, 4th June.
Join us for a gentle 8-9km run mostly along some trails on the south side of Bath.
Unusually it may not be quite so hilly this time as some of us have an amount of running to do this weekend… 😀

Sweaty fun run last night at Thursday Feelgood run for .mind
Great to see all the run clubs coming together on a glorious sunny evening. Lovely to run round town, much to the bewilderment of many a tourist!
And winning a raffle prize obvs!! 🤣

Last night’s Social Run @ Glasshouse. What a bumper crew with lots of newcomers for this sunny 8.5km circuit in glorious sunshine ☀️.
We went out along Shepherds Walk, down Summer Lane to Monkton, past the gaol, along the Midford Brook to Midford, Tucking Mill (not managing to trigger the security robot this time), back along the Horsecombe Brook then finally up the hill & back, phew! 180 metres of vert.

🏅Sunday was spent running the Town & Gown 10k in Oxford organised by
🎉 A great event made even better by Strava telling me that it was my fastest ever 10k - and we know how judgey Strava can be at times!
Photos of us before in the freezing cold 🥶 listening to MD CEO .fletcher.374 do his compèring thing, at the start line then post run with red face & medal. Also a chance to catch up for coffee with my non running supporter .lake_ ☕️
👏 Thanks running bud for giving me FOMO to sign up, & for driving 🚙. Well done us.
An event organised by a charity really is a win win as runners get a properly organised event & the charity gets our entry fees. What’s not to like!

Last night’s Social Run @ Glasshouse. A 9 km circuit through Rainbow Woods, down to Macaulay Buildings, across the wonderful buttercup covered fields to Smallcombe, along Church Road and back up via Abbey cemetery & Popes walk.
A lovely jaunt, after a brief rain shower, with plenty of banter along the way.

😃 The NRR crew doing the proud last Saturday on a glorious sunny day.
❤️ Such a wonderful event - it’s all about the cake! And the views & company too of course.
🙁 I was sad to miss it this year due to a trip to Wembley ⚽️ but I’ve realised you just can’t do everything! Looking forward to next year though.
