A really important safety message from us 💙
We want to share an experience from the past 24 hours to help raise awareness for all families around water safety.
My grandson, Anna’s son, Charlie experienced two seizures caused by a very high temperature. At the time, it wasn’t known just how high his temperature was when he entered the swimming pool. The water cooled his body down too quickly, and once out of the pool, his temperature rose rapidly again — exceeding 40°C. This sudden change placed significant stress on his body and triggered the seizures.
This is a gentle but important reminder: children (and adults) should never swim with a high temperature or fever. While it may seem like a good way to cool down, rapid changes in body temperature can be extremely dangerous.
If there are any signs of illness or fever, it’s always safest to avoid swimming until fully recovered.
Please take care, stay aware, and help us share this message — safety in and around the water always comes first 💙
