The 3XV get their season underway with a local derby against Ards — always a good one to kick things off!

Then on Saturday, the 1XV hit the road as they begin their SolarFix NI Junior Cup campaign against Dungannon 2XV. 🏆

Two big fixtures, one busy weekend. Get out and support the lads! 💙💛

After months of anticipation, we’re just ONE DAY away from returning home! 🏠💙💛

Here are our 1XV & 2XV team sheets for our first home matches of the season, both games KO at 2:30PM!

Tomorrow marks the reopening of Upritchard Park following our refurbishment works, and we honestly can’t wait to see the clubhouse full of familiar faces, supporters, players and the wider Bangor RFC family once again.

Last Wednesday evening, we were delighted to welcome Dame Allan’s School all the way from Newcastle to Bangor for a preseason fixture against our U18s! 🏉

It was a pleasure to host the squad, and we hope this is the start of something we can do again in the future. A huge thank you to everyone from Dame Allan’s for making the trip and for a great evening of rugby — we hope to see you all again soon! 🤝

And of course, no post-match gathering is complete without food… 🍕 Huge thanks to Fly Boy Bangor⁠ for keeping everyone well fed with some seriously delicious pizzas! 👏

Rugby, new friendships and plenty of pizza — not a bad way to spend a Wednesday evening! 💙💛

This Saturday marks a huge day for Bangor Rugby Club as we welcome everyone to the refurbished Upritchard Park for the first home fixtures of the season! 🎉

Whether you’re joining us for the pre match lunch, coming down to cheer on the 1XV & 2XV, supporting the cricket, or simply fancy seeing the incredible new facilities — there’s no better place to be!

🔥 And don’t worry if you haven’t got a spot for the lunch… Cricket are firing up the BBQ, so you can still grab some food and soak up what promises to be a brilliant day at the club!

We can’t wait to welcome the kids back to Uprichard Park on Sunday. We’ve received lots of enquiries about new starters across all seven year groups. All kids get two taster sessions, so come on down and give Rugby a go.

🏉🏟️ Good to meet with Matt from Ulster Rugby for a catch up on the positive impact of rugby across our local communities and the game at all levels.

We discussed the need for support for our excellent local rugby clubs in North Down, including Bangor Rugby Club, Donaghadee RFC & Holywood Rugby Football Club, all of whom have worked hard on developing their facilities in recent years.

These clubs play a very valuable role in bringing people together, creating opportunities for young people and so much more!

The wait is over… rugby is back! 🏉

Our 1XV kick off the new season away to Ards RFC this Saturday in a local North Down derby! 💙💛

It’s the first test for the 26/27 squad in Championship 1, and we want to see as many Bangor supporters as possible making the short trip to Lansdowne Road to get behind the boys.
