It’s here folks hoping to see few old faces later ? Feel free to pop in if you played for or even against the Ponies !
Bampton Football AFC are putting on an ex players reunion at Tiverton Town FC on Sunday 16th of August, running from noon to around mid afternoon. It will consist of photos, press cuttings etc and the like and bit regards history of the club. We’re hoping to have ex players attend from as far back as the 1960’s. We are trying to gauge interest and numbers regards attending, if ex players or those involved with the club could show an expression of interest in attending, that would give us an idea regards possible numbers. Bampton 10-0 Lympstone
Today we welcomed two new signings to the club and what a start for them both! Shane and Darren Heale both getting off and running with a hatrick each! Callum Woodman also chipped in with a hatrick of his own, and Jack Mitchell getting his goal to round off a really strong performance.
Bampton dominated the ball from the first whistle and looking after the ball so well allowed us to take advantage of the spaces that created. We passed the ball well and moved the ball quickly forward making plenty of chances to score. All 10 goals came from composed and assured finishes. Each member of the squad playing their part. Even though we were missing a few players today we still looked good. If I’m being over critical we maybe got a little sloppy at the start of the second half but once we tightened up it was fine.
We wish Lympstone the best of luck for the coming season.

Bampton AFC are hosting the first ever Christmas 🎄 market it will be held over 2 weekends the dates for your diaries are SUNDAY 6th DECEMBER AND SUNDAY 13th DECEMBER.
We are inviting local businesses, vendors and food producers who would like to purchase table space at the market to contact me and I can tell you prices. Santa will be coming for a visit on both weekends and there will be a magic show also on both weekends.
Whether you are producing beautiful local cheeses or selling your stunning Christmas crafts contact me for a sales space and book now to avoid disappointment.

Exciting things happening in the future to help support Bampton AFC!

We are looking to put on a few community events soon!

Here are a few ideas we have looked at and it would be great to get some feedback and suggestions for other events.

Firstly from September we are looking at doing a regular quiz night! Who would be interested?

We are also looking at the possibility of holding a Christmas 🎄 market where local businesses and producers can sell anything from food to crafts. Would this be of interest?

Any other ideas 💡

Bampton 8-2 Elmore 3rds
Bampton welcomed Elmore 3rds this afternoon. Special shout out to Jamie Wilson for his work getting the pitch ready. And a big thanks to Craig Woodman for helping us out. ✍️
Bampton started in a 4-2-3-1 formation and from the kick off tried to impose ourselves on the game. We kept possession well which was good to see. We made a lot of good forward runs and the midfield were passing the ball nicely into the channels for our wide lads to run on too. Jayden Taylor started the scoring with a smart finish. That continued throughout the first half and the only disappointment was conceding a goal to lead at the break 6-1. I asked the lads for more of the same in the second half but knew it would disrupt our flow a bit by making so many changes but we still managed to score another couple and only conceded one. A good run out giving us an 8-2 win. More importantly we got minutes in legs and got to look at a couple young lads who we hope will sign!
Nice one boys well done.
