Exe Valley Fly Fishing Tucked in the beautiful headwaters of the River Exe, Exe Valley Fly Fishing has two lakes for fly fishing. There are also some monsters lurking!

They are well stocked with Rainbow trout that average 1.5 kg. We are open all year round, 7 days a week.

❗️❗️Anglers Please Note❗️❗️

Due to the extremely hot and dry conditions we have been experiencing for sometime now and with no end in sight, the water levels have dropped dramatically and the water temperature is exceedingly high. As a direct result of this, there is a significant bloom of w**d in both lakes.

We are just about managing to keep Lobb’s Lake relatively clear but Anchor Lake is quite choked. We have decided not to close at this time but are encouraging any anglers who want to fish, to please inspect the lakes BEFORE deciding whether to purchase a ticket or not.

Any current Season Ticket holders will be allowed to add an extra month on to their ticket expiration date. If this weather continues into August we will review the situation then.

Bear with us during this difficult time. It is an annual problem, but will dissipate once the weather cools down and we get some significant rain.

Hi all,

Just to let you know that we have our regular group of Fishing for Heroes with us on Wednesday 1st July.
We are expecting a smaller group of around 12-14 anglers, and as such both lakes will be open for fishing, but just be aware that either of the lakes could be busier than normal (probably Lobbs lake).

Hi all,

Just to let you know that we have our regular group of Fishing for Heroes with us on Wednesday 13th May.
The group are holding a fishing competition and as such it is going to be a large group fishing on Anchor Lake.
After discussions with the organisers, we have decided to close the Anchor Lake until around 3pm, mid-afternoon.
Lobbs Lake will still be available to fish if you were planning on coming, but this could be busier than normal.
All lakes will open as usual on Thursday 14th May for fishing.

Hi all,
Just to let you know that we have our regular group of Fishing for Heroes with us on Wednesday 1st April. We have been advised, it is going to be a large group with around 25 fishing, so we have decided to close the lakes until around mid-afternoon (3pm) if you were planning on coming. If not we are open as usual on Thursday 2nd April.
