𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙮 𝙈𝙘𝘾𝙪𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙜𝙝 - 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙚 & 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙧

Cathy McCullagh’s biggest role within Ellon Rugby Club is as Youth Convenor, where she plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of the Club’s youth section off the grass.

With all four of Cathy’s sons having come through the Club’s junior section and now progressing through the youth section, Cathy has a real understanding of the Club and the importance of providing a positive pathway for young players.

Behind the scenes, Cathy helps coordinate and organise the many aspects required to keep the youth section running smoothly, supporting coaches, teams, players and families throughout the season.

Alongside her role as Youth Convenor, Cathy is also a Club Trustee and is involved in running The Grill, the Club’s catering facility.

Her commitment, organisation and experience make Cathy an important part of the team helping Ellon Rugby’s youth section continue to grow and thrive.

𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙆𝙚𝙞𝙩𝙝 – 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙛 𝙍𝙪𝙜𝙗𝙮 & 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙚

John Keith has been part of Ellon Rugby Club for almost 20 years and has played a significant role in the club throughout that time.

With a wealth of experience in rugby and a strong understanding of what makes a successful club, John now takes on the role of Director of Rugby, alongside his role as a Club Trustee.

John will be actively involved across the junior and youth sections, supporting the development of our players and coaches, while also working closely with our Senior XV — particularly important as the team returns to the Caledonia League Division 1.

His knowledge, passion and commitment to Ellon Rugby Club will be invaluable as we continue to develop rugby across the whole club and build for the future.

We’re delighted to have John taking on this role and look forward to seeing the impact he will have across all areas of Ellon Rugby Club.

𝙆𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙞𝙙 - 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙚 & 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮

Karen Reid has been an important part of Ellon Rugby Club since 2021, initially becoming involved with coaching at the Maxi’s.

In 2022, Karen took on the role of Junior Convenor, a position she held through to 2026, helping oversee and support the smooth running of the Club’s junior section.

Karen now continues to play an important role within the Club as both Club Secretary and Trustee, supporting the administration and organisation of the Club behind the scenes.

And if that wasn’t enough, Karen also runs the Club Kit Stall, helping players and families get kitted out in Ellon colours.

Her experience across coaching, junior rugby and Club administration makes Karen a valued part of the Ellon Rugby Club team.

𝙈𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙁𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙝𝙖𝙢 – 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 𝙏𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙚, 𝙏𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙧 & 𝙐15/𝙐16 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝

Mike has been involved in club rugby for 25 years, with over a decade of dedicated service to Ellon Rugby Club.

As well as serving as a Club Trustee and Treasurer, Mike plays a key role in our youth section as Head Coach of the U15 and U16 teams.

His experience, commitment and understanding of rugby make him a hugely valued member of the Ellon Rugby Club family. Mike continues to give his time and knowledge to help develop our young players, both on and off the pitch, while also supporting the wider running and development of the club.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything Mike contributes to Ellon Rugby Club and for the commitment he continues to show to our players, coaches and wider club community.
