☕🥌 Aberdeen Ladies Curling Club invite all women curlers past, present and future along to a pre-season Coffee Morning on Monday 21st Sept from 10.30am here at Curl Aberdeen. Catch up with friendly faces after your summer break - or come along and meet new ones if you've thought about joining their club. Aberdeen Ladies Curling Club play on regularly Monday mornings throughout our season. 🥌🍰

✨𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝘆'𝘀 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸! ✨

Now welcoming entries for the Betty Kitson Women's Bonspiel - this year being held on Saturday 10th October 2026.
Guaranteed 3 x 4 end games throughout the day. Open to all women, and junior women aged 8 and above, from Aberdeen and all ice rinks further afield! £140 per team with juniors paying half price.

Timings
The day’s timings will depend on the number of entries but will most likely be similar to the below:
10am Arrive – Tea/Coffee with morning roll on arrival.
10.30am Game 1
12.15pm Lunch
1pm Game 2
2.30pm Tea/Coffee with Traybakes
3pm Game 3
4.30pm Prize Giving
Format
The competition will be run in a Schenkel format.
All games will be four ends.
2 points will be awarded for a win and 1 point for a peel.
Ranking will be determined by points firstly followed by ends, shots difference and total shots.
Opposition for the first game will be drawn immediately prior to going on the ice.

🥌 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 🥌

Every season we are asked to put shout-outs for additional players for Super League teams - occasionally a team find themselves short due to illness and injury as the season approaches, and also during the year.

We felt it would be useful to create a universal subs list for Super League that teams could call upon. If you are not already a "named member" of an existing Super League team, and would like to put your name down to be an occasional sub, please get in touch with us at [email protected] - your offer of assistance is greatly appreciated and this will certainly help out teams in need. You've maybe been thinking about playing some more games but not wanting to commit to entering a full Monday night super league team - now is your chance. Get some more games - meet some new faces.

Applications are now open to the Scottish Curling "Club Development Fund" - any Scottish Curling affiliated club is welcome to apply.
Clubs here at Curl Aberdeen are welcome to apply for a share of this £5000 fund, focussing on the following areas : Inclusion, Recruitment or Retention. If your club has some great ideas for development - here's a super opportunity to get some funding to help you!

The 𝗔𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 SKINS weekend is officially launching! Join us on 29-31 January 2027 for this social highlight in our curling calendar. Games are to be 6 ends - starting Friday evening, all day Saturday and finals on Sunday. Not forgetting some of that infamous entertainment on the Saturday night, which we're levelling up this season! Seeing we all had so much fun at our Olympic Festival Skins event last season...you're not going to want to miss this.
