Well it wasn’t quite to be for our Gents Fours last night , in a tight contest up to 8-8 then it went 14-9 for Westhill, Ellon were lying a good 3 and Skip David Cobban Shaw played a hit and was bang on target but got a result as the jack bounced off Alistair’s back bowl and went out to the side for Westhill to lie 2 and Alistair just run through with his last bowl to lose the 2 and they conceded the game with an end to play. Hard luck to John, Gary, Daniel and Alistair. Best wishes to the Westhill four at the finals in Ayr.
On the other hand our ladies had to scrap for a 1 shot victory against the senior four from Oldmeldrum at Pitmedden last night. Aided by a 6 they picked up during the game. So well done to Maureen, Lorraine, Shirley snd Ann who shall now play Newhills in the final at Oldmeldrum.

Congratulations to our Over 55s team (right to left): John Watson, Gary Simpson , Michael Stephen and Alistair Campbell who qualified for the 2026 Bowls Scotland National Championships at Northfield after defeating Newhills 17-5 this afternoon at Harlaw BC.

The club would like to wish the best of luck to John Watson, Gary Simpson , Michael Stephen and Alistair Campbell who are competing in the Over 55 Fours District 3 final this afternoon at Harlaw BC in Inverurie.

They take on Newhills in the final with the game kicking off at 2pm.

Congratulations to Maureen Sinclair, Lorraine Milne, Shirley Christie and Ann Singer who won 23-9 in their Quarter Final of the Over 55 Ladies 4s against Kintore at Newmachar BC this evening.

They now move onto play Oldmeldrum in the semi finals at Pitmedden BC next Thursday night as they bid to make it through to the District Final.
