The European swing starts tomorrow! 🇪🇺

The inaugural Pärnu Open kicks off in the forests of Jõulumäe Recreational Sports Centre, bringing the 2026 Disc Golf Pro Tour season to Europe DGPT Europe

The event is run by Kristin and Silver Lätt on their home course, adding a nice personal touch to the first edition.

PDGA Europe is actively working on increasing disc golf’s presence on television channels across Europe and has reached an agreement with Norwegian producer Stian Johnsen, renowned for the acclaimed series "The Magic of Disc Golf" and the Lille Leland Disc golf course, to film and produce content with formats and durations better suited to mainstream broadcasting at three of the sport’s most prestigious events in 2026:

• European Disc Golf Festival - including the PDGA Presidents Cup and the PDGA Disc Golf European Open
• PDGA Europa Cup
• WFDF World Team Disc Golf Championships

This production will focus on storylines, national audiences and viewing experience to make it easier to follow and more engaging for broader audiences and will also include top play-by-play footage plus support from selected European Content Creators Group YouTube channels.

Your Professional Disc Golf Association membership helps grow disc golf competitions across Europe!

Disc Golf Wałbrzych (Poland) wanted to expand its 2026 Open by offering courses better suited to all skill levels through Gold, Red, Green, and Purple rating-based divisions, so they applied for the PDGA Europe Competition Grant Program ( https://www.pdga.com/europe/competition-grant ) to add three key baskets to its course which have helped increase the number of participants in each edition from 56 in 2023 to 97 this year. Let’s keep growing together! 🇵🇱🇪🇺

Third round of player selection for the PDGA Presidents Cup at the European Disc Golf Festival!

Today, the Competition Directors for PDGA Global and PDGA Europe are adding two more players to their teams. Here they are, along with the reasons for their selection:

TEAM USA

“When it came time to select Team USA, I kept it simple and went with the top finishers:

Isaac Robinson made the decision easy with his strong finish and consistent play all weekend last year, highlighted by his first 1100-rated round.

Ella Hansen was also an easy choice as the top-rated U.S. finisher behind Silva and Kristen, and she’s proven she can handle this course—she currently holds the FPO course record with a 56.”

TEAM EUROPE:

“Joona Heinänen got third place on this course in 2024 only behind Ricky and Paul: This course suits him well and spectators will love his distance throws.

Iida Lehtomäki is representing the new generation of players. She earned all rights to represent Europe last year at Pro Worlds. Definitely, Europe has a strong future in the FPO field!”
