Rookie Test in Portimão 🇵🇹

Following an exciting debut season in the Ligier European Series, Marcus Terkildsen was back behind the wheel of an LMP3 car, this time with High Class Racing at Portimão.

Having already gained experience in LMP3 machinery through previous tests, this was another great opportunity to continue his development, gain valuable track time, and work with a new team.

Another exciting step forward as Marcus continues to build his experience and prepare for the challenges ahead! 💪🏁

Portimão marked the end of an incredible season for Marcus Terkildsen and MT Raceteam.

A season filled with pole positions, podiums, challenges, valuable lessons and unforgettable moments on some of Europe's most iconic circuits.

The final weekend in Portugal was one last opportunity to push the limits, give everything and close out our first season in the Ligier European Series.

🏆 P3 IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP & ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. WHAT AN INCREDIBLE FIRST INTERNATIONAL SEASON! 🇩🇰

At just 16 years old, Marcus Terkildsen has completed his first international racing season in the Ligier European Series JS2 R Championship.

And what a journey it has been! 🏁

Let's look back at the 2026 season:

🏆 P3 in the JS2 R Championship
🌟 Rookie of the Year 2026
⚡ 7 pole positions across 11 qualifying sessions
⏱️ 2 new track records at Barcelona and Paul Ricard, improving on the 2025 benchmarks
🥇 Race victory in Barcelona
🏁 4 DNFs across 11 races

Four races. Zero points. And still P3 in the championship!

The season started with incredible pace and high expectations. Marcus quickly proved that he could compete at the very front, securing pole positions, setting track records and fighting for victories.

But motorsport isn't always straightforward.

Throughout the season, we faced repeated technical challenges, including engine failures, gearbox problems and a significant loss of top speed following an engine replacement.

These setbacks cost us valuable championship points and several opportunities to fight for victories.

But Marcus refused to give up. 💪

Despite everything, he continued to push, fight for every position and deliver strong performances throughout the season. His determination, consistency and ability to perform under pressure ultimately secured him P3 in the championship.

🏆 AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, ROOKIE OF THE YEAR 2026!

Competing in his first international season at just 16 years old, Marcus has shown that age and experience don't define what you can achieve on track.

Being named Rookie of the Year is a recognition of his exceptional talent, speed, determination and maturity behind the wheel.

7 pole positions, 2 track records, a race victory and P3 in the championship - all in his rookie season.

An incredible achievement and a clear indication of the potential Marcus has for the future.

🇩🇰 Marcus is back racing in Denmark!

For the first time this year, Marcus will be racing on Danish soil as he takes on Padborg Park in an Agile in DEC Division 4.

Wednesday’s test went better than expected, so Marcus is really looking forward to seeing what he can do this weekend.

And there’s plenty of racing ahead. Straight after Padborg, we head to Portimão for the Ligier European Series finale next week. 🔥
