Day 1 of 2026 in Namur is complete.

Changing weather conditions made the first day even more demanding. The first challenge took place in the dark at the Theatre of , requiring full concentration, precise communication, safe handling and clear decision-making under pressure.

The teams then faced a bridge rescue through a narrow passage, a complex scaffolding rescue using our +, and a final scenario involving our , where casualties had to be rescued across multiple levels.

Do you want to become qualified to install and inspect fall protection systems? Fall protection systems only provide reliable protection when they are planned, installed, documented and inspected correctly. That is exactly what our Qualified Person Training for Systems is built for.

We have two-day courses, where participants learn how to professionally handle SKYLOTEC fall protection systems such as horizontal and vertical cable and rail systems, guardrails and single anchor points.

The training combines theory and practice:

- Legal requirements, standards and liability topics
- Interaction between PPE and fall protection systems
- Correct installation on different substrates and substructures

Fall protection is exposed to weather, use, wear and changing site conditions every day. That is why is not just a formal requirement. It is what keeps safety systems reliable in real operation. As part of the #360° Service, we support companies with professional maintenance, inspection and documentation of permanently installed fall protection systems and personal fall protection equipment.

The key is to clearly distinguish between both areas:

Permanently installed fall protection systems:
This includes anchor points, cable systems, rail systems and guardrails. They must be regularly, assessed professionally and repaired if necessary. Information 201-056 specifies the responsibilities of operators and owners clearly: systems must be kept in a safe condition throughout their service life.

Personal fall protection equipment:
This includes harnesses, lanyards and retractable type fall arresters. protects the user directly and must be inspected at least once a year by a competent person. This includes material condition, function, labelling, traceability and complete documentation.

Knot-free. Pre-configured. Ready for immediate use. The KIT was developed specifically for rescue personnel working in fall hazard environments. It can be used as vertical and horizontal lead climbing protection, as a lifeline, or as a restraint system.

All components are compactly packed in the backpack and ready for immediate deployment. The knot-free design reduces setup time and minimizes the risk of incorrect application increasing safety during operations.
