I am elated to have had the opportunity to provide Duncanby Lodge with a 100 Year Anniversary Special Edition reel just in time for their latest Salmon enhancement auction dinner event - Duncanby raised $400,000 in a single night for salmon.

I am very proud that the PEETZ reel raised. $10,000. Special thanks to Jeremy Humpherville of Coastal Carvings Fine Art Gallery and Jesse Reardon for without them both, this reel would never have been made.

The PEETZ reel in the screen shot from the Duncanby Lodge page is a second reel in the line up with the Jason Hunt artwork that is normally awarded to anglers visiting the lodge who catch a Tyee for the very first time and safely release it back into the wild waters bordering the renouned fishing lodge.

May I thank Derrick for his investment purchace of the PEETZ 100 Year Anniversary Special Edition Collectors Series Artist Proof reel 1 of 1 is now officially sold.

There was only one Artist Proof created in the making of this amazing new PEETZ reel series. We are very pleased to have found it a great new home.

We will create a grand total of 100 handmade reels for the PEETZ 100 Year Anniversary Special Edition Collectors Series of reels. The process of building out the reels has started and will be completed in the order to which they come off the assembly process... 1 to 100.

Not a new Idea, but one that Robert Van Pelt acquired when he purchased all of the assets, machinery and equipment for well Known PAL or PALISTER brand of fishing tackle from Sooke, BC. The lot also included well know Vancouver Island Magic Lures. Both of these iconic brands had filled tackle boxes and commercial boats for decades. In the mass lot of stuff that Robert acquired was some separate equipment for making Bentley Gaffs and a type of release tool. The Bentley products had been produced for nearly 18 years, but it wasn’t until mid 2025 – nearly 10 years before Robert would actually get started working on the release tool product range, originally coined the Bentley Release tool.

Robert has now re-branded the product range under the PEETZ moniker, and he is now calling it the
“PEETZ Hook & Release tool”.
