All smiles at the FIGHT OR FLIGHT finals! 🥊🦅

What a way to cap off our ten year celebration of the gym, the Aurora Climbing and all the community climbs.

Kudos to all finalists that climbed! Everyone climbed so well and it made for many fun and exciting rounds of the new format. We were all at the edge of our seat and you left us all inspired!

Big congrats to our first ever FIGHT OR FLIGHT winners! Becca Frangos and . Your names will forever be immortalized on the board.

Unfortunately due to some technical difficulties we weren’t able to finish printing everyone’s tees at the Anniversary Party! If you missed out on getting your tee printed at the party or you’d like an additional print, we’ve set up some times this week to give you another shot!

Reminder that Fight or Flight starts tomorrow! 🥊🦅

If you are signed up already, keep an eye out for scoresheet registration link in your e-mail tomorrow morning.

If you haven’t signed up yet, there’s still time! Registration will be open all week.

Celebrate ten years of community climbs on our legendary 55 degree spray wall…we’ll be hosting our first ever scramble format competition on the Aurora Climbing board.

Breakdown:

* Intermediate and Open Categories
* 30 scramble boulders (with a good mix of all-time classics and newly set soon-to-be classics)
* participants have from Oct 7th - Oct 13th to climb boulders from the competition list
* points are based off of climbs completed, with number of attempts factoring into the scoring system
* you can come try whenever you like, and as many times as you want and log your sends in your own time (honour system)
* Score will be determined by the top 5 climbs climbed within the duration of the comp!

The top 6 men and women in the open category will get to compete in an exciting new Flash or Die format finals at our Anniversary Party! ⚡️💀

Winners will receive a 10 month membership, some West Coast Resoles | Climbing Shoe Resoles and Sales goodies, and have their names engraved on the top of the board 🏆

Though this is geared towards experienced climbers, we encourage you to join and try out even if you haven’t climbed on the board! This will be a great way to get to know your board community and try out a curated list of Aurora Board Climbs!

PRICE: $32 for members, $38 for non-members.
INCLUDES:
* Entry to the Party
* All party bonuses (Free tee, one food and one drink ticket, entry into raffle)
* Non-members will also get a pass for the duration of the competition til the party (Oct 7th - 16th).

Intro to Board Climbing w/ Becca Frangos !

There are still a few spots left in the clinic coming up this Friday, Oct 2nd at BoulderHouse Victoria!

This clinic is the first event of our 10th anniversary celebration! Intended for intermediate climbers who are looking to take the next step in their climbing, BH Ambassador Becca Frangos will walk participants through basic movement and fundamentals of board climbing and how to effectively use both the Kilter and Aurora boards as training tools for your personal climbing growth.
