Week 2 of Summer Progression Sessions has begun in Victoria! ☀️☀️

The tenth Summer Progression Sessions starts today at BH Victoria! ☀️

Setting squad cooked up a strong start for week 1 of SPS!��Start numbers are not associated with difficulty so be sure to try as many as you can!��Digital scoresheet sign-up was e-mailed to registrants, but if you missed the e-mail, QR codes are available at the gym!��Now that SPS has begun, we will be opening BH Victoria at 6AMs on Wednesdays throughout the summer, starting tomorrow, May 6th!!��Want to participate but haven’t signed up yet? Summer Membership Special:

This $200 membership runs from May 5th - June 27th and INCLUDES your entry into Summer Progression Sessions!

This is ideal for people hoping to just participate in SPS or have a membership for the summer. It is a prorated membership that will get cheaper everyday from May 5th onwards.

Sign-up for this membership is available at the front desk of either gym! Last day for purchase will be May 21st (4 weeks left of SPS)

Bouldering 201 Special:

The next class of Bouldering 201 starts on May 15th! Registration for 201 will INCLUDE entry into Summer Progression Sessions with the course!

On top of that, registrants will also receive an extended membership included with the course running from May 5th - June 27th!

Price for the course is $250+tax

Heads up!! Hour changes incoming next week!

To ensure the gym is top notch for Summer Progression Sessions and the rest of a busy year ahead, we are making time to do some much needed repairs to mats and foam, starting with BoulderHouse Victoria.

We’ve organized this to have minimal impact and downtime between gyms.

There will be NO regular reset at Victoria next Tuesday. Instead, Langford will be reset and Victoria will be OPEN from 9AM-11PM.

On Apr 30th and May 1st, Victoria will be open 5PM - 11PM, so our team and can work on the repairs.

HOUR CHANGES (regular hours otherwise):

Victoria:
* Tuesday April 28th: 9AM - 11PM
* Thursday April 30th: 5PM - 11PM
* Friday May 1st: 5PM - 11PM

Langford:
* Tuesday April 28th: 4PM - 10PM (reset)
* Thursday April 30th: 10AM - 10PM
* Friday May 1st: 10AM - 10PM

The sun’s coming out, so it’s that time…for the tenth time!!! ☀️😎☀️

A decade of progress has lead to this…🔟🥳

We are putting on a 6 week progression series this summer, starting May 5th! ☀️ $45 series entry ☀️

Register by April 29th and receive a free limited edition BoulderHouse tee! 👕

A quick run down of SPS for those who are not familiar:

16 NEW boulder problems will be set every week at each facility, randomly numbered 1-16 and not colour graded, keep track of your score every week and give yourself one point for every boulder completed!
Every problem is worth the same (points are equal for the easiest and hardest problem) but the goal is to complete as many as you can each week and to encourage you to progress your climbing throughout the 6 weeks. Points (problems completed) will be totaled every week.

We understand not everyone can climb at both facilities so we will take your best score between VICTORIA and LANGFORD you do not need to visit both to participate.

Your final score will be based on your best FOUR weeks, so if you have a lower scoring week or are away, no problem - you can still participate!

Categories 📋:

- BEGINNER(recommended for yellow, orange and green climbers)
- EXPERIENCED (recommended for blue and purple climbers)
- OPEN (recommended for red, black and pink climbers)

✨ Prizes to be won in all skill levels. Whether you’ve just started climbing or you are a yearly crusher - SPS is for you!

✨All participants will receive a SPS Wrapped Report to help keep track of their progress throughout the series - this will summarize your climbing over the 6 weeks as well as offer insight into your climbing strengths and what you can improve on throughout the series. 📋📈

We are hosting a free Injury Prevention & Pain Management Workshop with Jon Cain of , this coming Monday, Feb. 26th!

Jon Cain is an Athletic Therapist and the owner of Cain Exercise Rehab in Victoria. As a q***r, neurodiverse, and BIPOC community member and climber, he has the ability and experience in addressing pain and injury that works from the standpoint of every individual’s needs and lifestyle demands.

This workshop will revolve around dispelling myths about how and why we experience pain and injury, considerations for overall muscle and joint health, and specific strategies for staying healthy as climbers. This hour will be interactive and involve some movement and light exercise.

The workshop will take place on the BoulderHouse Victoria Mezzanine on Feb. 26th from 7:30PM - 8:30PM and is open to anyone to attend - no registration required.
