Wow what a weekend of mixed emotions!!!! The Thunder Bay Truck Centre / Peterbilt Fort Frances, Dryden, Longlac dirt track nationals is establishing itself as one of the premier events of the year!!! First off Friday the anticipation and excitement of racing in our Super Bowl must have got to me because I drove it in like 8 cars to deep on lap one and hit Jamie Davis causing heavy damage to my car, upper control arm, tie rod, shock, rim and tire. All my fault. My crew of my brother, Kirk and Cory swung into action and repaired the front end as best we could. I strapped in for the B and car would not start. Thus ending night 1. Got to the track early Saturday to diagnose the problem after a couple hrs it was determined the switch was the issue our first mechanical breakdown of the year. My son Kirk and his buddy Eric were a great help all day. As my brother and mom and Dad were all to sick to be in attendance. I really wanted to make the feature for them as they are such a huge part of our team. So in the heat I almost got to second but missed out by 00002 . But made it in whew!!! To make a race of that stature is a feather in the caps for all who have helped. Feature held my line finished 21 . We made 5 of our last 6 features and 9 overall . 21 nights of racing. That is easily our best season since the comeback. We will regroup and be back again next season! To see if we can make the next step. Thank you to all who stopped by the car and My wife and her family and friends for spending there day at the track with us. To all those who stopped by the car including old friends Todd and Dan!! Thanks to my pit neighbours M20 and SB 12 you guys are awesome!!! 😎 will be back with the podcast this winter. See you at Thunder City Speedway next season.

Wow Quick trip to Superior for the Northern Nationals Night 1. Myself and my pit crew Mandi headed out at 3 got there just in time. Ran 3 races heat/bmain/feature 40 laps total. Good night making feature ran in the mix all night. Was a lot for us lol. Was going to stay and race Friday but with rain in forecast and knowing I would be driving straight home afterwards as we had a wedding to go to. We headed home. It was nice as my Mom and Dad also came after last winters health issues with Dad it was awesome to have him back in the USA. Thanks to Krob Shooter guy for the pic along with Sylvia Kuluski for her pic in the pits. And thanks to Baylock Entrance Solutions and Johnny Walker from Akawe for there help in getting us there!!Also my brother for all of his work getting the car ready week after week. What a great time!!!! Made the trip to Hibbing for Day 1 of Labour Day Shootout for the first time since 2001. The Track did all they could do with all the rain 🌧️ that they got. Track was very fast and very rough! Ended up 17th in feature we will take it. Thanks to my boy Kirk Coppock for coming it was a blast. Thanks to Johnny Walker and Stephanie from Akawe and Dennis and his team from Baylock Entrance Solutions for making it possible! Also thanks to my brother Patrick Coppock for having the car ready. He has work to do to be ready for Superior. Also thanks to Simpson 70 Racing for help with car after it not running right in hotlaps. The after party was lots of fun too. Back in the day the labourday shootout parties were legendary at my age a bit more subdued but Larry Both and Kirk we had fun. See you in Superior!!
