Last but certainly not least in our meet our coaches series is Caleb!
Now lets hear it from Caleb himself:

Caleb Huang

Originally from Shanghai, China, I moved to Cape Breton nearly two years ago and have really enjoyed becoming part of the local tennis community.

I've been playing tennis for over 20 years and have spent the last 5 years coaching players of all ages and skill levels. My coaching philosophy is simple: create a positive, supportive environment where players can develop confidence, improve their skills, and most importantly, enjoy the game.

My strengths as a coach are player development, clear communication, and helping players build strong fundamentals while keeping practices engaging and fun.

Favorite Tennis Quote:
"Every champion was once a beginner who refused to give up."

Best Known Shot: Aggressive forehand and consistent baseline play.

Fun Fact:
Besides tennis, I enjoy technology and problem-solving, and I can often be found helping people troubleshoot computer and tech issues.

Languages Spoken:
English and Mandarin Chinese.

I'm looking forward to meeting new players and helping everyone enjoy their tennis journey!

Hey, I’m Stephanie, and I’ve been playing tennis at Cromarty for over 9 years. When I’m not on the courts, you’ll likely find me at the piano or walking my dog. I speak English, French, and Mandarin.

Hi, I’m Nathan Campbell. I love sharing my passion for tennis with others. As a coach, I strive to make every lesson engaging, and fun while helping players improve their skills. My goal is to create a positive environment where players can build confidence, develop their game and play the sport I love.

It's that time of the year! Our lessons have officially started, and we would love to introduce you to our coaches one by one!
Here's a few words from one of our coaches!

Hi, I’m Camden and I will be one of your tennis instructors this upcoming season!
I am 17 years old, and this will be my 3rd year coaching at Cromarty. I’ve played tennis for 8 years now, and my favorite tennis shot to hit is a backhand down-the-line.
I have lived in Cape Breton my whole life, and am currently enrolled in the French Immersion program at Riverview High School.
The most exciting part of my job is getting to share my passion for tennis with everyone I possibly can. Hope to see you all on the court!!

Today is the start of our 2026 Spring Afterschool Junior Program!

Our Red Ball program - Those who are ages 5-7 have their lessons on Monday and Wednesday from 4-5 PM

Our Orange Ball Program - from Ages 8-9 have their lessons on Monday and Wednesday from 5-6 PM

Our Green Ball Program - Ages 10-11 have their lessons on Tuesday and Thursdays from 4-5:30 PM

And our Yellow Ball Program - Ages 12+ have their lessons on Tuesday and Thursdays from 5:30-7 PM!

Message from the coaching team:
ADULT LESSONS are starting early this season --JUNE 8th, 2026 on Mondays and Thursdays:
- 6:00 to 7:00 pm for beginners
-7:00 to 8:00 pm for intermediate players.
Lessons run weekly until July 31st. All lessons are included in the Adult or Family membership fee.

- Additional options for non-members include purchasing a "lessons only package" for $150.00 (less than $10 a lesson!)

-drop-in by purchasing a day pass for $15.00 (NOTE: you must register on Clubsparks first to purchase these two options).

Cromarty hosted students from Shipyard Elementary and Brookland Elementary for "Fun Play" today! Thank you to our coaches Caleb and Camden with volunteers Shelley and Tanya for providing a great time to our young players. Thank you to Pam and Jared for helping with registration. We have such a great bunch!
