Hi guys, great show today!!! 👏
We need to monitor the number of riders who are planning on attending our next SHILO RAIN DATE SHOW.
It was brought to our attention that the Sunday, September 13th show does cross over with other events happening locally.

In order to run, we need a certain amount of riders and volonteers so we just want to make sure we have both so we can organize a great show again !

Please go to our website and register as soon as possible so we can plan the next event accordingly!
REGISTRATION CLOSES THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 10TH AT 9PM.

📢ATTENTION 📢
We just want to give notice that the grounds for parking is very wet from the rain yesterday.
While the ring is in great condition, we are aware that the parking is not at it's best. Please use your judgment and try to stay in the dry spots..
Be sure to have a vehicle that can pull through the wet grounds. We cannot park in the gravel parking lot that belong to the grounds.

Remember, no liability form = no riding! The Russell Fair liability form is different from the Shilo liability form. You can find it on the Russell Fair section of our website! https://sites.google.com/view/shiloridingclub/russell-fair?authuser=0

Entries close August 12 at 9:00pm sharp. Absolutely NO late entries will be accepted. Entries without an accompanying Russell Fair liability form will not be added to the Order Of Go. E-transfers strongly encouraged.

Great fair for Shilo riders!

The Children's Horse Show is back at the Merrickville Fair, and we can't wait to see our next generation of equestrians in the ring!

Whether you're just starting out or already love to compete, this show is open to youth 18 years and under and offers a fun, supportive atmosphere for riders of all experience levels.

🕘 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Fairgrounds Horse Ring
📝 Entries are through Assist Expo.

Come cheer on these talented young riders and enjoy a full day of horsemanship, sportsmanship, and family fun at the Merrickville Fair!

ATTENTION: The Shilo Show tomorrow, June 28th, is CANCELLED😔

We are disappointed that we have to make this announcement, but we're confident in our decision to prioritize horse and rider safety. Heat and humidity is predicted as much too hot to run our show.

If you have sent e-transfers for the last two shows, please note that we will use them as credit for your entries at our next show. Further payment is not needed for those who have prepaid for these cancelled shows.

This cancellation means we will be using BOTH of our rain dates, so we will have shows September 13 and 20.

We hope everyone stays cool tomorrow, and we'll see you at the Russell Fair on August 14th! We appreciate your understanding🤠

Whether you are a lifelong equestrian or just love being around animals, we have a job for you!

No experience needed, we will train you on-site.

🌟 Why Volunteer With Us?
High school students can earn required community service hours.

Best View in the House: Get up close to magnificent horses and talented riders.

📋 Positions We Need to Fill:
•Gate Keepers: Help riders enter and exit the arena safely.
•Ring Crew / Jump in: Help reset knocked-down rails, barrels, poles in the arena and rake.
•Whipper-in at the gate.
•Hospitality & Parking: Greet guests, hand out programs or 50/50.
•Poop & Scoop keep area clean and tidy.
•End of day teardown.

We have CHANGED EMAILS for E-transfers, and are now encouraging everyone to pre-pay.

Prepaid entries will now ONLY be accepted to [email protected]. Any payment to the old email will NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Remember to include the rider & horse’s names, their division, and their events.

We hope you try it out! If not, cash will still be accepted from 8am-9am day-of.
