Here is the clip of Kyra's Cherry Bomb on the dyno, after 3 pulls it clicked off 204 RWHP, which for a stock LT1 is about what we expected. When we get the wiring proper so we can access the PCM and tune the data, it will improve. It was an excellent experience being able to dyno cars with my daughter. These moments make me so happy she got into cars. Thanks Kyra for the fun day.

Here is a clip of Gold Digger on the dyno, according to my track tuning i had 2 to many degrees of timing in it. She put down 336 hp at the rear wheels, if we add on a little HP for slicks that were also under inflated for dyno use (thanks for teaching me Google. Lol) and converter slip, that puts it close to 400 wheel on a Mustang Dyno, which puts real world crank numbers right where I suspected. So I am very happy with what happened. Who new that a couple minor factors could drop numbers so much. Next time I put a set of street tires on for dyno use, 20 to 60 hp loss according to Google nothing i can do about converter slip it's a high stall drag converter. If it was a street converter or had lockup would be a different story. The more we test in different ways the more we learn.

Added tips to the exhaust of Gold Digger, then decided i should go over the car, very smart idea......
Right front upper ball joint was only held in by 1 bolt. 2 were missing and 1 was there with no but on it. To say this could've been disastrous is an understatement. I drilled the holes out and put bigger bolts in, with all the loctite. The rest of the car was excellent, but that 1 thing could've ruined alot of stuff including other drivers. So I remind everyone to check over your cars periodically, just to make sure.

Tech tip Thursday for you, RUN WIDER WHEELS ON YOUR SLICKS. Both tires are 29.5x10.50R15 PBR Slicks. The first Pic is on an 8 inch wide rim that most people would order and run, thinking it's great. Picture 2 is the same tire on a 10 inch wide rim, you can see how much closer to the edge the wear is, that means the 8 inch wheels are leaving alot of traction on the table. Done people will even run these on a 12 inch wide rim to get the last little bit of rubber touching the ground.
What's your thoughts?

Damn proud of my lady, got her NHRA racing license email today. This lady is starting to look like a Pro driving this Hot Rod. Now to learn the Bracket racing side of 132MPH run, she will get it with a little guidance, then you are so in trouble. Lol

Not sure how many people know, but Friday night testing provides an interesting challenge for full racecars. The street tires on the average Friday night car, pulls up the prep that is put down that slicks is for ultimate traction. This causes us to spin on the starting line providing inconsistent data for tuning. Don't get me wrong, I'm definitely not telling street car tires not to come out, the more the merrier, the track needs you. But tuning wise, this season with the extra power of my new to me motor, this has been a challenge and last night I solved it. By slowing down my rear suspension with shock adjustments, I was able to make Gold Digger hook on almost no prep at the end of the night. It slowed the 60 foot down as well a my final quarter mile numbers, but it hooked and still left with the front tires in the air. Little more tuning to see if I can speed the car up now while getting traction, but half the problem is solved and I can leave consistently. It was good enough to cut a few .00X lights and even a perfect light at the end of the night. I'm a happy racecar driver. Lol

Well..........
The points season is over at NITRO Motorsports Park, Tony managed to hold on to the points lead by the skin of his teeth until Sunday, when he double guessed his dial in and the delay he had entered in his box. Going out first round, left it wide open, and it happened, dropping him to 3rd place, missing 2nd by 1 point and first by only 20 which is very minimal. Everyone fought hard on SUPER PRO, and being a rookie in the class, Tony can hold his head high. Alicia entered her first competition weekend in Altered State, racing beside people is a whole different story, she lost 2 tight races this weekend to people with a lot more experience than her, she did amazing piloting that car. Unfortunately the other 2 girls, Kyra and Kali, could not race this weekend, both out of their control. Hope to see them feeling better soon and back to Friday nights until Big Bux, where they hope to compete again.
We need to thank Peyton for taking all our videos and pictures we use all year long, for posts and tuning suspension, Standeven Family Racing for being with us all season and helping with everything. All the volunteers at NITRO for doing an amazing job.
