Stanley Cup Final preview. The defending Stanley Cup Champion New York Rangers take on the Detroit Red Wings. In the semi-final the Red Wings defeated the Blackhawks in game 7, and the Rangers defeated the Bruins in game 7.
The Red Wings roster features Hall of Famers and current all-stars Gordie Howe, Mark Messier, Steve Yzerman, Dale Hawerchuk, Mike Gartner, Ted Lindsay, Teemu Selanne, Sid Abel, Alex Delvecchio, Leon Draisaitl, Auston Matthews, Kirill Kaprizov, Lucas Raymond, Henrik Zetterberg, Brendan Shanahan, Nikolaj Ehlers, Jack Eichel, Dylan Larkin, Dany Heatley, Jordan Kyrou, Alex Debrincat, Brendan Gallagher, and Saku Koivu up front.
On defense they have Niklas Lidstrom, Chris Pronger, Al MacInnis, Rasmus Dahlin, Red Kelly, Brandon Montour, Mark Howe, and Simon Edvinsson.
Starting in goal for the ionic Red Wings is #1 Terry Sawchuk. Having him up is #37 Connor Hellebuyck, Ilya Sorokin, and Sergei Bobrovsky.
The New York Rangers roster features Hall of Famers and current all-stars Bob Gainey, Peter Forsberg, Jarome Iginla, Bobby Clarke, Doug Gilmour, Matthew & Brady Tkachuk, Henrik & Daniel Sedin, Mike Modano, J.T. Miller, Jean Ratelle, Connor Bedard, Andrei Svechnikov, Patrik Elias, Andy Bathgate, Matthew Boldy, and Nathan MacKinnon (scoring leader amongst forwards but injured all playoffs).
On defense we have #4 Bobby Orr (leading point scorer), Quinn Hughes, Adam Fox, Denis Potvin, Jacob Slavin, Moritz Seider, Luke Hughes, Axel Sandin-Pellikka, David Reinbacher, and Braden Schneider.
Starting in goal for the New York Rangers is #39 "the Dominator" Dominik Hasek. Backing him up is #31 Igor Shesterkin, #30 Henrik Lundqvist, #35 Thatcher Demko, and #1 Eddie Giacomin.
