Ottawa Bicycle Club - Come Ride With Us! Whether you just bought your first bike, have been biking on your own for a few months or are an experienced cyclist, the Ottawa Bicycle Club has something for you. The OBC is dedicated to providing high quality recreational and competitive cycling opportunities for cyclists of all ages. How to Become a Member
Please go to the on-line registration site to j

oin the OBC and take your cycling up a notch! A membership with the OBC provides: full insurance through the Ontario Cycling Association, access to free Sunday and Tuesday group rides, cycling development camps, free open and womens time trials and discounts at Ottawa area Bike Shops. For safety reasons, new members are required to complete a free half-day clinic prior to their first OBC group ride to learn group riding techniques. Youth Program
The OBC runs a youth cycling program that has produced nationally ranked competitors. The OBC Youth Program is structured to meet the needs of athletes and families, while providing quality coaching. Group Rides
On Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings, members meet for group rides. These rides depart from several pre-arranged city and area locations for a variety of destinations, changing each week. Rides are designed for all types of riders, with various distances and speeds to choose from. These are great opportunities to get to know other riders in the Ottawa area and be part of the community. Education
The OBC offers a number of clinics designed to help members of varying degrees of experience ride safely in a group with a high level of skill and fun. Beyond the free half-day clinic to learn group riding techniques, the OBC also runs more advanced clinics for those interested in racing or higher-level group riding. Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour
The OBC's largest and best-known event is the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour (RLCT), normally held the second weekend in June. Passing through picturesque countryside between Ottawa and Kingston, Ontario, the RLCT attracts over 2000 cyclists from all over North America for an unforgettable cycling experience. OBC Racing
Whether it's on gravel or tarmac the OBC has a racing event for you! In the spring the OBC hosts the Paris-Roubaix Cyclosportif, an often muddy affair that includes some gravel, sand, rocks, unmaintained roads, woodlots and one switchback climb. The classic route is about 80 kilometres. A shorter 40 km is an option for riders and includes 3 woodlots. For those who prefer smoother roads, the OBC offers weekly time trials, held Tuesday and Thursday evening on the Rockcliffe Parkway. These time trials are a friendly competition between individual cyclists and the clock. Participants are sent off at fixed intervals and their time is recorded upon completion.

Our Youth Racing Program riders are crushing it at the Coupe de l’Avenir - making OBC first in the team classification! 🔥

Elly Moore is leading in the Yellow Jersey (GC), Green Jersey (Sprint), and Polka Dot Jersey (KOM) and won Stage 1 in a two person break for almost 50km! Way to go .moore

Also happy to share that Zoe-Alexa Veilleux was 3rd in the Prologue and in the men’s race, Noah Carter was 8th in Stage 1. As a 1st year U17 racing against U19s which include Junior national champions, this is a big accomplishment. 👏
