A big day yesterday for some of our favourite people!🔥

Dr. Karma, Dr. Isabella, Monica, Tineke and Sam completed the Niagara Half Marathon, and swipe to see Jayden, who ran the FULL marathon!! 🏅👏

So much hard work goes into getting to that finish line, and we’re so proud of you all. We love getting to celebrate you!

🏆 LIP SYNC BATTLE CHAMPS!!! 🎤🔥

What a night!! The Exercise Lab officially took home the win at the 2026 Victim Services of York Region Lip Sync Battle 😂🏆

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, showed up, cheered us on and supported such an amazing cause. The night was so much fun, but being able to come together as a community and raise money for Victim Services made it even better. ❤️

And of course, a very special shoutout to our incredible team of male… AND female 😂 dancers who fully committed and absolutely brought it on stage.

Special thank you to Alex for all the time, energy and work that went into bringing our performance together and getting this crew stage-ready. We couldn’t have done it without you!

And finally, thank you to Victim Services of York Region for everything you do in our community and for putting together such an incredible event. We were so happy to be a part of it.

🎤 Your trainers are hitting the stage 🎤

The same coaches who yell “2 more reps!” are trading the gym floor for an actual stage on Thursday, September 10th. Reception at 5:30, battle kicks off at 7:00, Davide De Simone Performance Hall.

We’re doing this to support Victim Services of York Region and the incredible work they do for people in our community going through the hardest moments of their lives.

Our goal is to raise $2,500 — every bit of support means a lot to us and to them.

Five years. 👏

On July 4th, Michael officially celebrated 5 years with The Exercise Lab.

It’s hard to put into words the impact he’s had on our team, our culture, and every athlete and client he’s worked with over the years. His positivity, energy, and genuine care for people make our facility a better place every single day.

Whether you’re training with him, working alongside him, or simply walking through our doors, you leave better because of the person he is.

Mike, thank you for everything you’ve poured into The Exercise Lab over the past five years. We’re incredibly grateful to have you on this journey and can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

Most athletes don’t have a protein problem.

They have a carbohydrate problem.

If you’re trying to gain muscle, get stronger, recover faster, and perform at a higher level, carbohydrates need to be a staple at every meal.

An easy way to build your plate:

🍞 Breakfast:
Bagels, toast, oats, cereal, fruit, granola

🥔 Lunch:
Rice, potatoes, wraps, pasta, bread

🍚 Dinner:
Rice, potatoes, pasta, quinoa, bread

🍌 Around training:
Fruit, bagels, pretzels, granola bars, cereal

Too many athletes are eating plenty of protein but not enough total fuel to support growth and performance.

If your goal this off-season is to add quality muscle and get the most out of your training, don’t forget the carbs.

The athletes who grow the most are usually the athletes who fuel the best.
