DAY 16 OF 20 DAYS OF PCT

Tomorrow is one of our favourite PCT days of the year.

THE FALL FUN FAIR.

Saturday, September 19 from 10 AM–3 PM, we’re throwing open the BACK doors at 3530 Laird Unit 1A for games, a bouncy castle, BBQ, friends, families, athletes, coaches and a whole lot of PCT community.

Important logistical note: Please park at the gym and take the little walk around to the back of 3530. You’ll pass the Canadian geese. They’re basically security. 🇨🇦🪿

And no, you will NOT get a sneak peek inside the main gym.

Sorry.

We have to save something for the grand reveal.

Now. THE BASKETS. 👀

Our teams have absolutely OUTDONE themselves this year. The silent auction baskets are UNBELIEVABLE. Truly. There is some serious stuff up for grabs and these baskets alone are worth coming for.

And there are bragging rights involved.

Which PCT team will build the basket that raises the most money and earn their entire team backpacks from World Champion Mentality this season? 🎒🏆

Competition is healthy, friends.

But underneath the bouncy castle, BBQ, games and competitive basket bidding, this day is about something much bigger.

The Fall Fun Fair is our annual fundraiser for cancer research, and it’s one of those days that reminds us that PCT has always been about more than cheerleading.

It’s about people showing up for people.

Families together. Kids running around. Coaches flipping burgers. Friends bringing friends. Alumni stopping by. Our whole community using something fun to do something good.

So come.

Bring your friends. Bring your family. BRING CASH. 💵

Play the games. Eat the food. Bid on the baskets. Bid again when someone outbids you. Take it personally. 😂

SATURDAY | 10 AM–3 PM | 3530 LAIRD

Follow the geese.
Find the Fun Fair.
Bid on the baskets.
Help us raise a pile of money for cancer research.

This is PCT too.

DAY 16 | 20 DAYS OF PCT

Not every great PCT memory happened under the lights.

Most of them happened on a Tuesday.

Getting dropped off after school. Bags piled by the floor. Music too loud. Learning a new skill. Doing it again. And again. Laughing with your friends between reps. A coach noticing you needed a little extra help that day.

Nothing particularly remarkable.

Except, looking back, it kind of was.

For 22 years, 3580 has been the backdrop for thousands and thousands of ordinary days.

Yes, we remember the championships, the Worlds performances and the big moments.

But PCT was actually built here.

On regular weeknights. In two-hour practices. One correction, one skill, one friendship, one athlete at a time.

And maybe that’s the part of leaving this building that hits the hardest.

Because somewhere along the way, all those ordinary days became a childhood. A coaching career. A best friend. A team. A place you grew up.

Now we get to do it all over again.

3530 is about to become the backdrop for a whole new generation of ordinary days.

And we can’t wait to see what they become.

The Rebirth of Cobra continues.

DAY 15 | 20 DAYS OF PCT 🐍

This one is about the people behind the teams.

Our coaches.

And we’ll say it proudly: we are home to some of the best coaches in the country.

Coaches with extraordinary knowledge. Coaches who lead, teach, challenge, inspire and care deeply about the athletes in front of them. Coaches who understand that this job has never been just about teaching a stunt or fixing a tumbling skill.

Some have been beside us for nearly 20 years.

Others walked into our Leadership Program at 13, became CITs, started coaching and are now the ones inspiring the next generation of PCT athletes.

That might be one of our favourite full-circle moments.

Our coaches invest in their craft too. NCCP trained, fully Cheer Canada compliant and always learning, because raising the standard for our athletes means raising it for ourselves first.

But credentials only tell part of the story.

It’s the connection. The leadership. The extra conversation. The belief when an athlete needs someone to believe a little louder. The thousands of tiny things our coaches do that nobody sees.

You simply will not find a better group of people.

And during National Coaches Week, we get to say it a little louder:

We see you. We appreciate you. And PCT would not be PCT without you.

Day 15 belongs to the coaches. 🖤❤️🤍

DAY 14 | 20 DAYS OF PCT

Taking down 3580, one banner at a time.

And look what’s been sitting underneath this one for all these years. 🐍

COBRA.

If you know, you know.

22 years of PCT. 17 years in this building. A whole lot has changed.

Apparently the wall knew we were coming back to COBRA before we did.

New building. Same DNA.

3530, you’re up.

DAY 13 | 20 DAYS OF PCT 🐍

Sometimes it really is just about learning something new.

Tumbling has always been a huge part of PCT. Classes, semis, privates and, of course, our Power Program.

There was a time when people actually lined up at 3:00 AM to get a Power spot. Now we’ve moved that particular insanity online, where it sells out in less than an hour. 😂

At 3530, we finally have MORE SPACE. Which means more classes, more lessons and an expanded class program for athletes at every level.

Because sometimes the best feeling in the gym isn’t winning anything.

It’s finally landing the skill you’ve been working on forever.

More space. More skills. Same PCT. 🖤❤️🤍

The Rebirth of Cobra continues. 🐍

DAY 12 | 20 DAYS OF PCT 🇨🇦

This picture makes us ridiculously happy.

Our Junior Argos Stunt Team. On BMO Field. Holding the Canadian flag.

And somehow, it captures something that has been part of PCT since the very beginning.

We love sport.

Not just cheerleading. Sport.

We love being part of the sporting community in our city, our province and our country. We love that our athletes have had opportunities to perform at games, represent cheerleading in front of completely different audiences and stand on some pretty incredible fields along the way.

Last season, that included holding the Canadian flag at Game 7 of the Blue Jays World Series.

GAME. SEVEN. OF. THE. WORLD. SERIES.

That one is going to be hard to top.

But whether it’s the Argos, the Blue Jays, university sport, community events or the many other opportunities we’ve been lucky enough to be part of over the years, we never take the invitation for granted.

Because every time our athletes walk onto one of those fields, cheerleading walks out there with them.

And we are incredibly proud to represent it.

We’re also pretty damn proud to be Canadian. 🇨🇦

This has been happening since we opened our doors more than two decades ago. Different athletes. Different uniforms. Different stadiums. Same feeling every single time.

Thank you for letting PCT be part of the bigger sporting community around us.

We’re moving buildings, but we’re certainly not changing this part.

We’ll keep showing up. We’ll keep saying yes. We’ll keep putting cheerleaders on fields and in rooms where our sport deserves to be seen.

And if the Canadian Pro League happens to be looking for the perfect Canadian home someday?

Well.

24,000 square feet. The most established coed program in the nation. Proudly Canadian.

Just saying. 🇨🇦🐍

The Rebirth of Cobra continues. 🖤❤️🤍

DAY 12 | THE BELIEVERS

This is a video of Wicked winning Level 4 Grands at Nationals last season.

But the win isn’t the prize.

This day is for every PCT team that kept working when there was no trophy waiting at the end of practice. The teams that worked tirelessly, refused to settle, stayed connected and kept showing up for each other.

The teams that lost along the way.

The teams that had competitions that didn’t go their way. That had rough practices and frustrating stretches and moments when it would have been very easy to decide that maybe this just wasn’t their year.

And kept going anyway.

This day is for THE BELIEVERS.

The athletes who believed in each other before there was proof.

The coaches who kept asking for one more correction, one more rep, one more tiny improvement.

The teams that understood that what happened last weekend didn’t get to decide what happened next weekend.

Wicked’s moment at Nationals was incredible. Watching them win Level 4 Grands was everything.

But what made that moment matter was everything that happened before it.

They believed long enough to become the team they knew they could be.

And THAT is coming with us.

Into the new building. Onto new floors. Into the next chapter of PCT.

Because the Rebirth of Cobra isn’t about forgetting where we’ve been and starting again.

It’s about carrying forward the things that have always made us us.

Work. Connection. Resilience. Belief.

I BELIEVE IN YOU.
I BELIEVE IN ME.
I BELIEVE IN PCT.

Day 12 is for the BELIEVERS. 🖤❤️🤍🐍

DAY 11 | THE REBIRTH OF COBRA 🐍

This one is personal.

We’ve been at 3580 Laird long enough that some of the kids we coached here grew up, became moms and dads, and then walked back through these doors holding the hands of their own kids.

And now we coach them too.

There is something pretty extraordinary about looking across the floor and seeing a little face that looks suspiciously familiar. Knowing their mom’s work ethic. Remembering their dad as a teenager. Remembering their teams, their friendships, their big moments and all those completely ordinary nights in the gym that, looking back, turned out to matter.

And then suddenly, somehow, we’re doing it all over again with the next generation.

I don’t take that lightly.

Because those parents know us. They know what it feels like to be coached here. They know our expectations and our standards. They know what PCT was to them when they were growing up.

And after all these years, they came back.

They trusted us with their kids.

Of all the medals, banners, jackets and championships we’ve collected over the years, I’m not sure there is a bigger compliment than that.

It tells me that PCT was more than where they cheered. That somewhere in all the practices, competitions, friendships, lessons and growing up, we were a positive part of their young lives.

Now we get to be a little part of their kids’ lives too.

We’re leaving 3580, but this is coming with us.

The people. The relationships. The trust. And now, a second generation.

The Rebirth of Cobra isn’t starting over.
We’re bringing generations with us. 🖤❤️🤍🐍

DAY 10 | 20 DAYS OF PCT

The GOLDEN BUZZER. ✨

More important than a HIT ZERO? Maybe.

More fun than winning? Honestly… sometimes.

Because the Golden Buzzer is instant feedback that what you just put on the floor did more than score well.

You made people FEEL something.

The crowd felt it. The judges felt it. Your athletes felt it.

And then that buzzer goes off and the celebration is absolutely EPIC.

The screaming. The jumping. The pile-on. Coaches losing whatever composure they had left. 😂

There’s something pretty great about a competition that makes room for that kind of pure, spontaneous JOY.

So, bravo CheerFest Montreal and Sapphire Productions for figuring out exactly what Canadian cheerleading needs in the drabbest month of the year:

A giant golden button and an excellent excuse to completely lose our minds.

We’ve been lucky enough to hit it a few times, and every single one has been a moment.

🐍 The Rebirth of COBRA. More moments worth celebrating ahead.
