Another great day of competition for our New Valor kids team.

Medals are always exciting, but the biggest victories happen long before the matches start. Competition teaches lessons that can’t be learned from the sidelines:

✅ Having the courage to step onto the mat
✅ Managing nerves and emotions under pressure
✅ Learning that success comes from preparation and effort
✅ Showing respect to teammates, coaches, opponents, and referees
✅ Understanding that wins and losses are both opportunities to learn

Some of our athletes won matches. Some didn’t. But every one of them walked away with valuable experience that will help them grow both on and off the mats.

We’re proud of every student who challenged themselves this weekend. The goal isn’t to be better than someone else—it’s to become a little better than you were yesterday.

🔥 Markus put on a great performance and brought home SILVER in the gi division.
🔥 Ayan had an incredible day, earning DOUBLE BRONZE plus SILVER in the Absolute division!

Proud of the hard work, composure, and heart these guys showed on the mats. The results are earned long before competition day.

He stepped up this weekend in a big way — competing against older kids and refusing to back down.

What made it even more powerful? His family right there beside him — supporting, encouraging, and believing in him every step of the way. That kind of support builds more than athletes… it builds strong, resilient people.
