Behind every great camp is a coaching staff that genuinely cares.

These are the people who showed up every day at Full Stride Summer Camp and made sure every athlete left better than they arrived. We're proud of this group and grateful to have them in the building.

Training hard is only half the equation. Recovery is the other half, and it's the one most young athletes never get taught.
At Full Stride Summer Camp we brought in Diana to lead our athletes through a dedicated recovery session, and we mic'd her up so you could hear the reasoning behind every movement.

The athletes who learn to recover properly are the ones who can keep training at a high level consistently. That's the idea behind including this in camp, and it was one of the highlights of the week.

We mic'd up Coach Kyle Callaghan during an on-ice edgework session at Full Stride Summer Camp and this is what elite hockey coaching actually sounds like.

Kyle is the owner of Wild Wolf Hockey and brings a level of detail to on-ice skill development that you simply don't find everywhere. In this clip he's breaking down edgework, one of the most overlooked technical areas in youth hockey, and coaching it in real time.

The season is almost here and there's still time to make sure your athlete is ready for it.

A few focused sessions at Full Stride in the lead-up to the first game can make a real difference: sharper skating, stronger stride, more confidence on the ice from day one.

Treadmill and dryland sessions are open now for individuals and small groups. Don't let the off-season end without getting those last sessions in.

Full Stride Summer Camp 2026 is officially a wrap. ๐Ÿ’

Four days at Iceland Arena with an incredible group of players from U9 through U18. Every day included dryland training with Coach Megan, three hours of on-ice development with the Wild Wolf Hockey team & Performance Hockey Academy, and skating treadmill sessions at Full Stride.

In partnership with Wild Wolf Hockey and Performance Hockey Academy, we set out to build the most complete development camp in the GTA and we're proud of what this week became.

Thank you to every athlete, every parent, and every coach who made it what it was. We'll be back next summer.

Full Stride Athletes of the Month for Augustย  ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’

๐Ÿ† Gia Cantena
Gia showed up every session in August ready to work. She didnโ€™t slow down even when she came in with a broken thumb. She trained on the treadmill anyway. Thatโ€™s the standard.

๐Ÿ†Aaryan Iyer
Locked in all August. He did 4 individual treadmill sessions on his own, did an additional 4 treadmill sessions with his team, and participated in our 4 Day camp.

Two athletes who decided the off-season meant something. Congrats to both. ๐Ÿ‘

The final drill in our 3-part treadmill series at Full Stride.

The slow and go extended takes everything from Part 2 and adds volume. The athlete drops back slowly and drives back up multiple times in a row before grabbing the bar. By the last rep the legs are working hard and the stride still has to stay technically clean.

That combination of fatigue and technique is what builds the kind of skating that holds up late in a period when it matters most.
If you missed Parts 1 and 2, scroll back through our page this week.

Drill series Part 2 of 3 at Full Stride.

The slow and go. The athlete begins at the top of the treadmill, lets the belt slowly pull them back in a controlled descent, then drives back up to the bar as hard as they can.

The controlled drop is what separates this from a standard sprint drill. It forces composure before the explosion, which is exactly what a player needs when they lose a step and have to reaccelerate in a game.

Part 3 coming next.

We're breaking down a 3-part treadmill drill series this week, starting with the sit and go.

The athlete begins in a seated position at the back of the treadmill on their skates, then drives up the incline to the bar with hard, straight strides. The goal is pure power generation from a dead stop, with no momentum to lean on.

It sounds straightforward. It's harder than it looks, and that's the point.

Stay tuned for Parts 2 and 3 this week.
