Great 1v1 Exercise for Midfielders✅📈

Two phases:
1) Create space to escape pressure
2) Find final target pass

It’s important to create conditions with urgency for midfielders as pictures (passing options) change by the second. This exercise forces the player to get their pass off quick before defender gets around to recover

CONTEXT MATTERS ‼️ If you have space or need to take space quick, Pep will be mad if you take an extra touch! Don’t stop the ball in that case - “roll with the ball” or positive touch into space directly✅

POV: Training a 14 year old Provincial team Striker📈📈

Yes, this is his weakfoot. And yes, these clips were after about 40 previous shots nearing the end of the session after the fatigue has hit. Just wanted to capture Luca’s quality and the importance of practicing bread and butter finishes for strikers —> Off the shoulder run into a first time finish with a tight angle✅

Excited to continue the work with this young baller!
