What a fantastic weekend! The 3rd annual Jared Wannamaker Memorial Open Bonspiel was a great success! 24 teams competed across 3 days. There was dinner, dancing, bagpipes, an auction, large 50/50 prizes, gift baskets, and of course… curling! 🥌

Thanks to all the teams who played, the volunteers who made it possible, and the fans who came out to watch. The lounge was always busy.

Our A event champions were the local Meyer rink, clinching the title for the 3rd straight year. The Dupuis rink took the B event while the Uyede team finished first in C, both from Powell River.

🥌 Come to the Gibsons Curling Club to watch the Jared Wannamaker Memorial Open Bonspiel all weekend long! Teams from around the province start Friday afternoon and play all day Saturday, with the championship games on Sunday. 🏆

There will be bagpipes tonight on the ice as we kick off the competition, and there's an exciting charity auction at 7 pm Saturday in the lounge. Enjoy a drink while you watch from above. (Bring cash!) 🍺🍷
