Border Skating Club of Fort Frances has been bringing fun and recreation to the youth of Fort Frances and surrounding communities for over 60 years. We are a Skate Canada sanctioned club and enjoy instilling in our skaters the love of skating starting at the age of 2 and going into adulthood. Our club includes all aspects of the Learn to Skate from Skate Canada. We offer Parent and Tot Pre-CanSkat
e, CanSkate, Enhanced CanSkate as well as the StarSkate program. Our Pre-CanSkate program introduces skaters to the fundamentals of skating while having fun. In our CanSkate program skaters learn a complete series of balance, control & agility skills taught in six stages of learning that pertain to hockey, speed skating, figure skating as well as general recreational skating. Our Enhanced CanSkate add on program is for the more advanced CanSkate skaters. It introduces them to the fundamentals of the StarSkate Program while developing their figure skating skills. Our StarSkate program offers the opportunity for the skaters to further their figure skating skills in the areas of Dance, Skills, Free Skate and Interpretive. Last season, we had over 100 skaters participating in our programs who skated anywhere from 1 – 6 days a week.
