2026 PJC Senior Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic

Congratulations to Luke Thomson on an excellent performance today. He was able to bounce back from a frustrating fifth last week to finish second today.

Luke was dominant in all his preliminary matches with superior gripping, movement, attacks and effective ne-waza. Unfortunately in the final one small gripping mistake made the difference.

Elizabeth Cossitt fought hard today but unfortunately she was not able to make it to the final block. She battled in her matches but is missing some small tactical elements and experience.

Drake had a good day today in the U21 90kg division taking advantage of the mistakes of his opponents. He lost a close final three penalties to two penalties.
Addyson and Elizabeth both lost tight bronze medal matches finishing with one win and two losses. Unfortunately Maia was injured in the semi-final and was not able to compete for the bronze medal. It is a challenging competition because of the heat and humidity but our athletes battled hard. Go Alberta Go!
