Congrats to the newly promoted and first purple belts under Acclimate. Demonstration of technique and demonstration of both mental physical discipline was shown.

At 61 years old Coach Gord Yee continues to push the boundaries of learning and physicality. He showed up, demonstrated what he knew, and the resilience was shown in his test. Decades of martial arts and still continuing to learn and grow. Too many positive things to say about the life of this man, but this is just another feather in his growing cap.

Greg is eight into jiu jtisu. He has competed in Kickckboxing, Muay Thai, Grappling and recently an MMA fight. He shows the courage the spirit and fearlessness to challenge himself to new things. He consistently coaches and dedicates his life to martial arts on top of a very successful personal business. He also earned this on his birthday. Happy birthday Greg.

With the skill set of these two individuals and what they’ve done this might have been an overdue test, but time gives us the opportunity to truly refine

Introducing, Nolan Badovinac. Acclimates official wrestling coach.

Nolan grew up in Port Alberni. He started wrestling in the elementary program there and fell in love with contact sports, playing rugby and wrestling.

This continued on through highschool wrestling for the Alberni Valley Wrestling club with the privilege of having 2008 Canadian Olympian Travis Cross as a coach and mentor.

In college Nolan competed in the NCAA for Simon Fraser University and represented Burnaby Mountain Wrestling Club at the Nationals.

Having grown up in a small town Nolan moved to Cranbrook looking to live and work in a place that people love and give back to their community. “I’ve been blessed to have incredible coaching and support throughout my competitive career and look forward to helping the next generation pursue their goals.”

Acclimate gets an upgrade!

Acclimate and Fitness Inc have invested in permanent wall mats. This not only increases the useable space but adds new skills with wall wrestling.

As the Submission Grappling and MMA program continue to grow and evolve this is a game changer.

UFC Alumni turned actor stuntman shared the mats with the team today.

As some of these athletes start their journeys competing and fighting, Jason got his start in Lethbridge and made his way to the UFC.

Great job to the team today competing at the Kootenay Submisson series in Creston BC. Missing a few opponents as it was a long day!

Thank you for hosting an amazing tournament. It takes a lot of time and effort and financial commitment to organize these events. Appreciate you Mark and your team. Venue was unreal and looking forward to the next one.

Congrats to five members of the team on their blue belt promotion. 2.3 years of dedicated time on the mats at our gym. These individuals also have taken the risk to compete in many tournaments. Putting themselves outside of their comfort zones and they have all been very successful.

After a gruelling exam of knowledge demonstrations. They were pushed physically and mentally and all rose to the occasion.

Acclimate is a family and these people have dedicated so much to that community. Some are getting ready for fights, some are going to high levels and some want to just train.

This is a team sport. I appreciate all the members showing up to support their peers. Challenge them but help them be successful.
