Cranbrook Curling Centre http://www.cranbrookcurling.ca It's not just a rock. It's forty-two pounds of polished granite, with a beveled underbelly and a handle a human being can hold.

Okay, so in and of itself it looks like it has no practical purpose, but it's a repository of possibility. And, when it's handled just right, it exacts a kind of poetry - as close to poetry as I ever want to get. The way it moves.... What keeps our club functioning all year round?

A manager!

The Cranbrook Curling Club Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Kirkland as Manager, effective June 1st.

Sean joins us from Edmonton, eager to collaborate with the board on ambitious plans for the Cranbrook Curling Centre.

A recent Alumni of Brock Sport Management, Sean brings over 18 years of curling experience, including participation in the Alberta Junior Curling Tour and USport.
He has extensive coaching experience in both adult and junior curling, having trained under the guidance of renowned curlers such as Kevin Martin and Dana Ferguson.
Outside of work, Sean enjoys reading best-selling books, watching movies, and snacking on fresh popcorn. He is also a skilled musician, proficient in playing the drums and guitar.

Sean will be spending some time with outgoing Manager John Dixon , as he transitions into his role . (thanks again to John for his support !! )

Exciting news !!

Curling Club Board and members would like to thank John Dixon for stepping in as our Interim Manager for the past curling season !

We appreciate all the long hours and hard work keeping things sliding along for our club !

If you see John send him a “high five” 🖐️.. or buy him a drink 🍺

I am sure we will see John back on ice this season , and helping out with ice crew ..but for now he’s going enjoy the summer ..( think Susanne has a few projects lined up for him 🤣)
