The East Kootenay Volleyball Club is excited to announce two new leadership appointments that will help shape the future of athlete and coach development throughout our organization.

Together, Steve and Troy bring decades of coaching, athlete development, leadership, and volleyball experience to EKVC. 🏐 2025–2026: A Season to Remember 🏐

As the final whistle has sounded on another indoor season, we want to celebrate every athlete, coach, parent, volunteer, official, sponsor, and fan who made this year so special.

From the first practices in the fall to the final matches at Provincials and Nationals in May, EKVC teams represented the East Kootenays with determination, resilience, sportsmanship, and pride.

🥈 2 Silver
🥉 2 Bronze

While we're proud of the results, the true success of this season can't be measured by medals alone. It was built through countless hours in the gym, long road trips, early mornings, teamwork, friendships, perseverance, and a shared commitment to getting better every day.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making the 2025–2026 season one to remember. Together, you helped showcase the strength of volleyball in the East Kootenays and created memories that will last well beyond the final point.

We can't wait to do it all again!

📢🏆 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS 🏆

What an unforgettable weekend in Calgary for the East Kootenay Volleyball Club 16U Invermere girls team — bringing home GOLD at Nationals! 🥇

This team plays with incredible heart, passion, and spirit. They may get knocked down at times, but they never stay down. Over the season, they learned how to channel their energy into focused, controlled, high-level volleyball — and it all came together when it mattered most.

What makes this group truly special is that there are no superstars — just an amazing team that trusts one another, celebrates each other’s strengths, and works together as one cohesive unit. 

Their hard work, coachability, determination, and genuine love for the game shone through in every match, and they were rewarded with a well-deserved National Championship gold medal.

So proud of this incredible group of athletes, coaches, and supporters. The East Kootenay represented with class, grit, and heart. 💙💛

EKVC U15 White Takes on Calgary! 🏐

What an incredible finish to an unforgettable season! Our EKVC U15 White team just wrapped up an amazing 3 days at the Volleyball Canada 🇨🇦 Youth National 🏐 Championships at the BMO Centre in Calgary.

Facing off against the absolute best youth talent from across the country, these athletes showed exactly what East Kootenay volleyball is all about: heart, hustle, and relentless teamwork.

Nationals is a massive stage—the largest in Canadian youth volleyball history this year—and our team stepped onto those courts with confidence, finishing 3rd in their division. 

A Huge Thank You To:

Our Athletes: For the early mornings, the diving digs, the massive blocks, and the endless energy on and off the court. You represented the club with pure class!

Our Coaches: For your dedication, strategy, and for pushing this team to reach its highest potential all season long.

The EKVC Village: To the parents and families, who made the trek to Calgary your cheers were the loudest in the BMO Centre, and your support made this journey possible.

The EKVC U16 Boys have arrived in Calgary and are ready to compete at the Volleyball Canada U16 Boys Nationals at the BMO Centre.

After a season of hard work, growth, and competition, the boys have earned the opportunity to represent the East Kootenays on the national stage against teams from across Canada.

Good luck to the athletes, coaches, and families as they begin their journey today. Compete hard, support each other, and enjoy every moment of the experience.

The wait is over.

Three EKVC teams are hitting the courts at the Volleyball Canada U16 Girls Nationals at the BMO Centre in Calgary, joining teams from across Canada for three days of competition, challenge, and unforgettable memories.

Representing EKVC this weekend:

🔵 U16 Girls Golden
🔵 U16 Girls Blue
🔵 U16 Girls Invermere

From countless practices and long road trips to early mornings, late nights in the gym, and more tournament kilometres than anyone wants to calculate, the work has been done. Now it's time to compete.

Good luck to all of our athletes, coaches, and families as they represent the East Kootenays on the national stage.
