Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton and British Bobsleigh have united to hire world-leading sled builder, Marc Van Den Berg, to help drive two nations back to Olympic podiums.

The new partnership to hire Marc Van Den Berg aims to drive Canada and Britain back to the Olympic podiums, bringing one of the world’s foremost bobsleigh builders on board as Technical Director of Equipment for both the Canadian and British national bobsleigh programs, marking a significant investment at the start of the new Olympic cycle.

Based out of our National Training Centre in Calgary, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Integrated Support Team while supporting Canada's top bobsleigh pilots and push athletes at training camps, competitions, and World Cup tours across Canada and around the world.

Whether you're looking for a paid contract opportunity or a volunteer/honorarium role, this is your chance to make a direct impact on athlete health, performance, and long-term development in one of Canada's fastest Olympic sports.

The National Skeleton Program hit the road this weekend in Waterloo, QC, where more than 40 athletes were introduced to skeleton 🛷

Every athlete at this camp was identified through RBC Training Ground, helping uncover the next generation of Canadian talent.

And we’re just getting started - next weekend, we’ll welcome more than 50 athletes to Calgary for another introductory camp.

A big thank you to RBC Training Ground for helping open the door to new opportunities and new experiences in skeleton.

One of the most respected athletes in the history of the Canadian Skeleton program, Jane Channell, has announced her retirement from the sport, bringing to a close an extraordinary career that spanned more than a decade at the highest levels of international competition.

A three-time Olympian, four-time World Cup medallist, Crystal Globe winner, and a cornerstone of Canada's national skeleton program. Beyond her competitive accomplishments, she leaves behind a legacy defined by leadership, resilience, and unwavering commitment to helping elevate the next generation of Canadian athletes.

Congratulations, Jane, on an incredible career. We wish you all the best in the next chapter!

Jane Channell, l’une des athlètes les plus respectées de l’histoire du programme canadien de skeleton, a annoncé sa retraite sportive, mettant ainsi un terme à une carrière extraordinaire qui s’est étendue sur plus d’une décennie au plus haut niveau de la compétition internationale.

Triple participante aux Jeux Olympiques, quadruple médaillée en Coupe du monde, lauréate du Globe de cristal et pilier du programme national canadien de skeleton, elle laisse derrière elle, au-delà de ses exploits sportifs, un héritage marqué par son leadership, sa résilience et son engagement sans faille à contribuer à l’épanouissement de la prochaine génération d’athlètes canadiens.

Canada's David Leuty was elected IBSF Vice President of Corporate and Financial Affairs at the IBSF Congress held in Salzburg, Austria. David will serve a 4 year term, and will also be part of the new IBSF Executive Management Committee
