Our connection to nature is not to be taken for granted! We know the profound effects that nature has on our bodies and minds – and we encourage you to explore those. Get outside in the morning sun, head for a walk in-between meetings, walk barefoot in the backyard while making dinner, or lace up for a run through the neighbourhood. Being outdoors boosts your mood and vitamin D – giving you a double-dose of goodness when paired with activity!

On days when the weather is less-than-agreeable you can head to Vivo’s Indoor Park to experience nature without the rain or wind. Our Indoor Park has been designed to follow the sun’s cycle, supporting your circadian rhythm despite being indoors! Experience the biophilic (our innate connection to nature) effects of Vivo’s Indoor Park.

Avoid inner-city traffic and out-of-the-way drop-offs and pick-ups by choosing Summer Camp at Vivo. You’ll love our free parking, north-central location, and neighbourhood setting.

Drop-In for Mobility Max

Build strength through movement, not just muscle. In this class, you will engage in movements blending stretch, control, and functional flow, with the goal of improving your range of motion so that your body moves freely and efficiently. You will leave feeling open, aligned, and ready for anything.

Mobility Max runs every Sunday from 10:30-11:30am - we hope to see you there.

🏃‍➡️ It sounds simple but awareness is key. We know that moving more and sitting less matters for your health. Ensuring you are moving throughout your day is a simple and easy way to bring more movement to your life. The Government of Canada recommends being active for a minimum of 2.5 hours per week – at Vivo, we have plenty of ways for you to meet and exceed that goal!

🏃‍➡️ From sun-up to sun-down, we have drop-in group fitness classes, led by expert instructors, that are guaranteed to get you moving. If you’d prefer a self-led movement session you can swim, climb, lift, run, or skate your way to achieving your movement goals. Campfire Chat 🔥 Meet the Leaders Behind Camp Magic: Teagen Pennoyer: Camp Lead

From friendship bracelets to cannonballs in the pool, Teagan brings encouragement, energy, and connection to every camp day at Vivo.

In this week’s Campfire Chat, Teagan shares why camp friendship bracelets are a tradition she’d never let go of, the rewarding moment of helping nervous campers conquer the climbing wall, and the one camp activity she’d secretly try to avoid herself (sorry, dodgeball).

“I used to have a huge fear of heights, but climbing helped me overcome that,” she shares. “Being able to show campers that climbing is fun and that they’re safe is really rewarding.”

Getting outside in nature, and in the sun even if it is cloudy has big benefits for us.
☀️ Time spent in the sun boosts our mood by increasing serotonin and it delivers a dose of vitamin D - something all of us Albertans could use more of.
💤 Not only that, it helps us to sleep better by increasing our melatonin and releases nitric oxide which brings down blood pressure.
🤠 As always, be sun-smart and protect your skin from overexposure! Vivo's Indoor Park is a great space to enjoy the sun while being protected from the elements - consider the Indoor Park during high UV index times!
