Notice: Temporary Tennis Court Car Park Closure – From Wednesday 6th May

Woolgoolga Tennis Club apologises for any inconvenience caused while the courts’ car park is closed from Wednesday 6th May for resurfacing works.

During this time, the temporary entrance to the club will be via the side gate between Courts 2 and 6. The coded padlock will be relocated to this gate.

Members and visitors are encouraged to park at the Solitary Islands Sports Ground , on Centenary Drive and where space is available and it is safe to do so. Alternatively, parking is available near by along the side road adjacent to the Council Depot on Solitary Islands Way.

We appreciate your understanding while these improvements are carried out.

Dear Members and Community,
As many of you may have noticed, we currently have increased wasp activity around the tennis courts. This is peak wasp season in New South Wales, when wasps build larger nests and are more active and noticeable in the warmer months.

We have begun treating the nests and will continue to monitor and spray as needed. While we are doing everything reasonably possible, wasps are very difficult to eliminate at this time of year.

⚠️ Please take extra care when you are near the courts:

Be aware of your surroundings and watch for wasp activity.
Avoid disturbing nests or swarms.
If you or someone you are with has a wasp allergy, please ensure you have appropriate medication (such as an EpiPen) readily available.
In case of a serious reaction or medical emergency, call 000 immediately.
At this stage we advise caution rather than avoidance — you can continue to use the facilities, but please be vigilant and take personal precautions.

We appreciate your understanding and patience as we manage this seasonal issue
