Congratulations to the Mount Compass Area School (MCAS) students who participated in the InterSchools Bowls Comp at Marion Bowling Club during May. MCAS entered 4 teams who played against different schools from across the southern metro and country areas. It was a great day of bowls with all teams playing 3 matches plus a final. Even though Marrayatville High took home the silverware, all MCAS teams played extremely well with 3 teams finishing in the Top 10.

Thanks to the Willunga Dragon players who supported the students during their practice sessions and those who supported on the day.

Many thanks to Community Bank Fleurieu and McLaren Vale Community Op Shop for their continued support to our club with recent grants to replace the glass washing unit & 2 door fridge. Both these units have now been installed as part of The John Treacy Bar makeover.

Region 7 (Fleurieu & KI) Crowned 2025–2026 Country Round Robin Women's Champions

Region 7 team (Fleurieu & Kangaroo Island) have claimed the 2025–2026 Country Round Robin Championship after a thrilling final clash against Region 4 (North Eastern). The championship came down to the wire, with Region 7 needing to win two rinks to secure the title — a challenge they met with narrow but decisive victories.

Both teams finished level on 74 match points and 34 rink points, making overall shots the determining factor. Region 7 emerged ahead by 18 shots, sealing their fourth championship in seven years — a testament to their consistency and competitive spirit.

Deb Philps, Anne Merritt and Andrew Press represented Region 7. Deb achieved the accolade of being in the top-performing rink. The Men's team achieved 5th place overall.
