Recently, we welcomed students from Churchlands Senior High School for a tour of our facility, giving them a glimpse into the many different career opportunities within the golf industry ⛳

Students toured the Golf Shop, explored the driving range operations, visited the cart shed, and met our greenkeeping team to learn about the important roles that help keep the course running every day.

We had a great time sharing our passion for the industry and showcasing the many exciting career pathways the golf industry has to offer.

We had a very special hole-in-one take place at Wembley recently! 1️⃣⛳

Former Wembley Golf Course Superintendent Darren Wilson recently aced the 16th hole on the Old Course. After years of helping keep our grounds in great condition, it's wonderful to see Daz enjoying his retirement with a moment every golfer dreams of.

Our free Come & Try Golf Clinics were a huge hit, with plenty of new golfers discovering just how fun the game can be.

A big thanks to everyone who joined us and gave golf a go. We loved seeing so many dads, families and first-timers out on the range.

Our GM, Nicole Martino, is representing the PGA of Australia at the Women's PGA Cup in the UK, alongside a team of four superstars.

Five PGA Members - Nicole Martino, Grace Lennon, Katelyn Must, Danni Vasquez-Boyd and Sienna Voglis - with a variety of different roles throughout the industry will reconnect with their passion for playing golf when they contest the fourth edition of the Women's PGA Cup in the UK.

Temporary road closures and changed traffic conditions will be in place on Sunday, 30 August. As such, access to Wembley Golf Course via the Boulevard will be affected from 7am until 1pm.

We've got a couple of new faces in our Greenkeeping team at WGC!

Quentin has joined us from Lake Karrinyup Country Club and brings 1.5 years of experience to WGC. He loves being outdoors and getting an early start to the day, and when he's not on the course, you might find him out bike riding 🚴

Mike joins us from Royal Fremantle Golf Club with 3 years of industry experience. He enjoys working outdoors and has already loved getting to know the crew and the golfers at WGC. Outside of work, Mike spends his time making music 🎵

The Chevron City to Surf for genU is coming up on Sunday, 30 August! 🏃‍♀️🌊

Both the 4km and 12km courses will finish at City Beach Oval, where the community can enjoy the free Finish Line Carnival presented by the Town of Cambridge from 8:30am to 12:30pm.

You don’t need to be participating in the event to come along. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the carnival atmosphere, activities and entertainment at the finish line. 🎉

Old Course Hole 18 🏌️

At 348m from the black tees, this hole plays sharply from left to right and requires a well-placed tee shot to set up the approach.

A large tree sits prominently in the middle of the fairway, creating a strategic challenge from the outset. Shorter hitters are best served aiming well left of the tree to find position and open up the green, while longer hitters may choose the more aggressive line over the top, potentially gaining a significant advantage into the elevated green, which slopes from back to front.

A tip from PGA Professional, Ryan Wille: Take more club on the uphill approach shot and favour the left side of the green in an attempt to avoid the severe slope to the right of the green.
