On behalf of the Waaia FNC, we would like to congratulate Brayden Coates who played his 200th Senior game in our clash against Katamatie on Saturday.
200 Senior games in the red and black is an outstanding achievement and one that reflects his commitment, loyalty and consistency Coater has shown to the Waaia Football Netball Club over many seasons.
Brayden joined the club when his family moved to the area, starting out as a first-year thirds player. From those early days, he has gone on to become one of the club’s most experienced senior players and a valued teammate and familiar face around the club, both on and off the field.
His commitment to the Bombers has been exceptional. For more than five years, Brayden has made the trip from Bendigo to Waaia, week after week, demonstrating just how much the club means to him.
On the field, his willingness to take on any task, position or role, provide plenty of run and link-up play, and always put the team first has made him an important part of the Bombers’ senior side throughout his 200 games.
Off the field, Brayden is just as valuable. He is always one of the first to put his hand up and volunteer for a job around the club — another example of the commitment and team-first attitude that has become synonymous with him.
A three-time Senior Premiership player, multiple-time Vice Captain, and recipient of numerous individual awards, Brayden has built a remarkable football career at Waaia.
More importantly, he will go down as the type of teammate everyone loved running out alongside — someone who gives his all, does whatever is required and makes those around him better.
To reach such a significant milestone at your home club at his age is something to be incredibly proud of 👏 👏
