State League Champioship Day 2 Update:
The Warriors dream run came to an end on day 2 with two tough losses to very quality sides.

Match 3:
Warriors 0 sets 9 lost to Scorsby 4 sets 24

Match 4:
Warriors 1 sets 12 lost to Beaumauris 3 sets 21.

Well done to the Warriors who finished 3rd overall in the state of Victoria, as the only country team to play in Division 1 NLTC should be proud of their efforts.

Warriors 4 sets 24 def Altona 0 sets 9

Match 2:
Warriors 2 sets 22 def Mcleod 2 sets 21.

A good solid day from the team of Jack Bassett , David Poole , Mark Mills & Jack Forde

With Geelong a late out the Warriors will play 2 more matches tomorrow to sort out the top 3 sides in Victoria and a spot at the Nationals in October at the Gold Coast on the line!

TEAMS STATE LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Our GM1 5 x reigning Premiership team the Warriors are heading to Melbourne Park to battle all the other 25/26 premiership teams from around the state.

144 teams have entered the Open and Women's divisions with the Warriors being placed in Division 1. Division 1 is made up of the top 6 premiership teams from around Victoria (Geelong, Altona, Scorsby, Hawthorn, Macleod and NUMURKAH)

The Warriors won't be at full strength as its a tricky time of year for country tennis players but they'll give it their all as always. If you're on your way to the MCG for ANZAC day or passing by stop into Show court 3 from 8:30am and 12:30pm for their first 2 matches tomorrow.

Team:
Jack Bassett: 1x Club Champion & 5 x GM1 Premiership player.

David Poole: 1 x Club Champion & 2 x GM1 Premiership player.

Mark Mills: 1 x Cub Champion & 6 x GM1 Premiership captain.

Jack Forde: 1st year GM1 Warrior player, 1 x GM1 Premiership player & 1 x 16u Club Champion.

Unfortunately for the GM3 Penguins their long streak of luck ran out.

After a strong season and hard fought battles, the waddlers fell short in the preliminary final bringing their season to a close.

We turn our attention now to the record breaking GM1 Tristar Warriors. Who are making a 7th grand final appearance out of the last 8.
They will once again play Shepp The Valley next weekend starting 1:15pm at Shepparton Lawn Tennis Club.
