Well… Mother Nature has officially been named Player of the Round. 🌧️🏉

Due to wet weather and field closures, Friday Night Rugby Round 5 has been postponed. While the kids probably would’ve loved turning Rugby Park into a mud wrestling competition, we’ve made the call to protect players and grounds.

The Crusaders committee is already working through options for when the round will be replayed, and we’ll keep everyone updated as plans are locked in.

Keep an eye on Crusaders socials over the next few days for updates, new dates and any changes.

Stay dry, enjoy the unexpected Friday night off… and maybe give the washing machine a week to recover

🏉 2026 Crusaders Representative Program – U9 & U11 🏉

Expressions of Interest are now OPEN for our 2026 Crusaders U9 and U11 Representative Programs.

This program is all about development, confidence, teamwork and giving players the opportunity to experience representative rugby in a fun and supportive environment.

2026 Key Dates:

📍 Trials – Sunday 14 June
Rugby Park, Coffs Harbour

📍 Coastal Cup – Sunday 28 June
Port Macquarie

📍 U11 Mudgee Carnival – 18–19 July

📍 Coastal Cup – Sunday 2 August
Coffs Harbour

Important Information:
• NSW Rugby rep registration for U11 players is $30
• All other program registration costs are covered by the Crusaders
• Players will need Crusaders rep shorts and socks
• Playing jerseys are provided by the club
• Optional supporter gear including hoodies, training shirts, caps and beanies will also be available

⚠️ Mudgee accommodation is already booking quickly. Families completing an EOI may wish to secure accommodation with a cancellation option while awaiting final team selections.

We can’t wait to see the next group of young Crusaders represent the region with pride.

National Volunteer Week | Monday May 18 – Sunday May 24.

Next week, we celebrate the incredible volunteers who are the heart of our rugby clubs across the country. From game day helpers to committee members, coaches, managers and canteen crews, thank you for everything you do for your rugby community.

Clubs are encouraged to use next week to:

- Ensure all volunteers are registered in Rugby Xplorer
- Highlight and celebrate volunteers across club social media
- Share volunteer stories and recognise the people who make rugby possible in your community

Clubs are also encouraged to nominate someone at your club in the Harvey Norman Coach, Match Official and Club Person of the month campaign running nationwide. Link in our bio to nominate. May nominations close on Thursday May 21.

Tonight’s games at Rugby Park and Grafton Hay st fields are ON and going ahead as scheduled.

A little rain never stopped Rugby Union… in fact our kids usually enjoy it more 🌧️🏉

While other kids are finding other plans for there weekend our lot are already planning how much mud they can carry home to Mum and Dad’s washing machine tonight 😅

Coffs Harbour Crusaders Junior Rugby Committee – We Want You!
We’ve got 2 positions on our tight-knit, hard-working committee – and we’re calling on anyone who loves junior rugby and wants to see our Friday night competition keep growing strong.
We’re not asking for miracles – just some rugby-loving legends to jump in as General Committee Members. That means helping with setup and pack-up on Friday nights, pressing buttons on sirens, bringing good energy, sharing your passion for the game, and helping us keep this comp ticking along.
We meet once a month (zoom or face-to-face – we mix it up), and the rest of the time, we get in and get it done together.
If you:

We’re pleased to confirm that Simon (Crusaders U12 Head Coach) will lead the Mid North Coast U12 Development Squad for this year’s gala.

This is a great opportunity for players to experience representative rugby in a fun, competitive environment — and for many, their first chance to pull on the Axemen jersey.
