GET WEIGHT ROOM STRONG! 🦾

Coach Tom Gacis and Athlete osky has been putting the work in the weight room.

He has been progressing very well in his lower body strength and explosiveness over the last few months.

Hitting a big 105kg barbell box squat is a PB and will definitely keep going up.

Youth basketball players need to be strong to build a great foundation for power, speed and explosiveness.

Once you produce more force, you have a lot more potential in your jumping and sprinting on the court.

Let’s keep getting stronger boys!

🎀 Mic’d up with Coach Josel Dr. Josel Peralta | Basketball High Performance

One thing you want your team to work on is your spacing.

πŸ—£οΈ Bad spacing kills good offense. Creating more space forces the defense to make tougher decisions and opens up better scoring opportunities.

Watch Coach Josel go through two details that can change your game.

MOVEMENT BEFORE LOAD βœ…

For youth athletes, movement competency is one of the most important things to look for in their development.

Basketball is a chaotic and complex sport with multiple movements in varied speeds all the time.

Getting young players to move well and be strong in stabilizing chaotic environments is key to reduce the risk of injury and maximize on court performance.

Our academy program involves building strength and conditioning as well as movement skill specific to in-game demands.

Young players must build the foundations and train more like basketball athletes to get the most out of training both in the gym and on the court!

DM us if you would like to get some training in to help your athleticism and skills. πŸ”₯

The Sydney Dragons squad came through yesterday for their team Combine πŸ’ͺ🐲

We tested everything from their Strength and Power to their Speed and Agility to establish their baseline, identify strengths and highlight areas of improvement.

This team came ready to give maximum effort and we loved seeing the support that they had for their teammates. 🀝

Now they’re ready to build on those numbers, improve their athletic performance, and make a real difference to their game.

Well done all athletes! We look forward to seeing your progress πŸ”₯

Getting athletes working on their acceleration, reaction and agility are major keys in moving well on the court.

Marcus has been improving his mobility, strength, and positioning as he is now moving so much more efficiently.

Coach Tom is pushing our athletes this off-season to get them leveling up for next year! πŸ“ˆ
